Bobby Brown: Model citizen, attentive father, and Renaissance man who just sued his ex-wife Whitney Houston. Just check him out in this clip from the UK interview show 24 Hours With…, in which the host, Jamie Campbell, locks himself in a room with a “celebrity” for 24 hours. (This is the same show that gave us the news item about Bobby Brown thinking Osama Bin Laden wants him dead.) Well at this point, Jamie and Bobby are about 12 hours into their personal time, and Jamie makes a throwaway joke about how he hasn’t tried to make any sexual advances on Bobby yet. Bobby does not find this amusing. At all. So he obviously threatens to “f**k Jamie up.” Twice. It gets pretty intense. I’ve never seen a human being milk that many knuckle cracks out of their hands before. I swear, Bobby got more cracking noises than he has fingers. Impressive. This video would be highly amusing if it wasn’t so utterly terrifying…

Bobby Brown has sued Whitney Houston to change the custody terms of their 14-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina. In court documents Bobby claims that he couldn’t hire a lawyer to respond to Whitney’s divorce petition, because he was broke.

He wants spousal and child support. He says since his divorce he’s been homeless at times. Their divorce became final on April 24th, when she was granted full custody of their daughter. She told the court that her ex-husband could not support Bobbi Kristina. Bobby was not in court at the time.

Bobby and Whitney will face off in court on June 15th.

Bobby is acting like a pimp who’s ho ran off with his cash.

Bobby Brown paid $19,000 in late child support and court fees and was freed after spending three nights in the Norfolk County jail. A judge had ordered Brown held in the county jail in Dedham until he made the payments after he was arrested while watching his daughter’s cheerleading competition at Attleboro High School.

"Although this agreement was put in place when he was Bobby Brown the star, this agreement is being enforced when he is not always able to find work," Parks told The Associated Press. "He hasn’t made an album in quite some years."

Bobby got a helping hand from someone who believes in him, and it wasn’t Whitney Houston.

An offer was made yesterday where Hot 99.5 would pay $19,150.00 to release Bobby from jail in exchange for a weeks worth of work here at the radio station. We will have security, transportation, accommodations and everything to make Bobby feel like the star that he is. He accepted!

“We are really doing it for his children, we sympathize with Bobby and hope that this will give him a head start and will put him back on track”, said Kane.

A lot of men are labeled dead beat dads when they are unable to pay unreasonable amounts of child support after their earning power changes, or their income is imputed based on unreasonable expectations of the man’s earning ability. It’s a fact that Brown’s earning ability is nearly zero now, but his child support order has not been modified from when he was a big star. He’s not a dead beat, he’s now becoming a victim of a broken judicial system. Even if Brown tried to modify the order the court would say he could potentially earn the same money as when he was a star, so they would not change the order. He was spending time with his daughter, so is he really a bad dad? Are men only good fathers if they have money to pay child support? I thought being a father was measured more by their relationship with their children.

Bobby Brown, who was arrested and jailed in Massachusetts on Sunday for failing to appear in court and pay child support fines, will remain behind bars until he pays $19,150, a judge ruled Monday. The singer’s lawyer, Michelle Whish, said she expected Brown to have paid the money by the end of the day. Brown, 40, owes money to his former girlfriend Kim Ward, who lives in Massachusetts and with whom he has two teenage children: LaPrincia and Bobby III. Brown was also ordered to return to court on Thursday, the day when his next $5,500 support payment is due.

"Kim always finds these hearing to be extremely difficult," Ward’s lawyer, Linda Medonis, said. "This is not the route she wants it go but when he doesn’t pay for a few months it becomes a real hardship for her."

Brown was arrested Sunday evening outside his daughter’s cheerleading competition, Patrick McDermott, clerk of Norfolk Probate Court in Canton, Mass., says. "He went very cooperatively. According to the constable, no one was really around." Jerry Loomis, one of the constables who arrested Brown, said he stopped the singer in the parking lot "because we didn’t want to embarrass him or anyone else in there."

Asked if Brown was able to see his daughter perform Loomis said, "No. He was begging us to go in there, but we felt for safety reasons we couldn’t allow him. It wasn’t even in the cards." In October, a judge ordered Brown to be arrested if he stepped foot in the state after the singer skipped a court hearing over $11,000 in delinquent child support payments to Ward.

Later that month, McDermott said that Brown had paid what he owed to Ward; however, the arrest warrant has remained in place, probably in case Brown fell behind again, McDermott said. Brown, who split from Whitney Houston in September, has a history of missed child support payments, and was even jailed in March 2004 for one day after missing several payments, which he subsequently paid.

Brown’s rep. said, “Yes, it is true. He was arrested yesterday in Boston for late child support payments. We are bringing those payments current right now as we speak.”
