Anna Anka (37), the wife of Paul Anka (67), was arrested for felony domestic battery. According to police Anna got angry with Paul on November 28, so she threw a piece of ice from an ice bucket at the back of Paul’s head so hard he had to go to the hospital and get two stitches. When Paul returned home from the hospital he called the hospital to inform them that Anna was missing. Sometime later police caught up with Anna and arrested her for felony domestic battery.

The Ventura County District Attorney office then dismissed the felony domestic battery charge, most likely because Anna is a woman, and the courts don’t like to press these kinds of charges against women.

Paul said:

"It was a stupid little event. It was nothing." Anka said he called the cops because she was missing at the time he returned from the hospital, but cops arrested her after seeing his injuries. He says he never pressed charges, and he and his wife are "fine". Paul says Anna has "been having a tough time with her ex over custody issues," which has stressed her out.

Anna may also have a history of problems with her ex too. We see this incident of violence against Paul as domestic violence, and elder abuse, for which Anna should be charged and jailed just like a man would be. There should be equality for the sexes. Men rarely press charges in domestic violence case where they are the victim, and even when they do the court throws out the case.
