Anderson Cooper is being sued by Killian O’Brien after she fell 17 feet through a hole in the floor of his 1906 New York City firehouse. O’Brien is also suing the construction company working on the building.

The hold O’Brien fell through was the hole used for the fire pole, which had been removed. The hole was left uncovered. The accident happened in September. Her lawyer, Neil Greenberg, says she is lucky to be alive, but did not mention any injuries O’Brien sustained, other than a bruised ego.

Cooper is renovating the firehouse so he can make it a luxury home.

O’Brien is lucky she wasn’t hurt or killed for sure. I had a friend who was riding his bicyle near a building that was being built. He rode in the dirt next to the sidewalk right into a hole that had no signs, and of course was not covered. When my friend fell into the hole head first the bike seat hit him in the back of the neck, causing sever spinal cord damage, and now he cannot move anything from the neck down, but he can breathe without the help of a respirator, aka ventilator. He is now slowing dying from atrophying muscles, and recurring pneumonia. In my opinion, O’Brien deserves some compensation, but the company that left the hole open without even so much as a "wet floor" sign to warn people deserves to have a requirement to label safety hazards if they want to keep their business license.

The bottom line for O’Brien is, look where you are going.

Anderson Cooper (42) is reportedly so in love with New York gay bar owner Antoine Maisani, aka Ben Maisani, the two are moving in together after dating for only 8 months. A source says:

Love will turn a serious newscaster into a fool, and then comes that feeling of regret when the relationship is over.

Anderson Cooper didn’t rip Heidi Montag for her embarrassing Miss Universe performance, but he didn’t exactly compliment it either.

We think Cooper wanted to say a lot more. We wish he would have said what was really on his mind.

Poor Erica Hill was trying to report live from Times Square for Anderson Cooper, when a random rude dude did some v tongue live on television. Anderson seemed more concerned that Kathy Griffin had already punched him twice. CNN is so classy.

Kathy Griffin was at Times Square tonight with Anderson Cooper to ring in 2009, when Kathy started getting heckled, so she said:

"Why don’t you get a job buddy. You know what, I don’t go to your job and knock the dicks out of your mouth."
