Amy Winehouse Hospitalized for Chest Leaks

After Amy Winehouse was hospitalized a few days ago rumors spread Amy had mixed non-prescription medication with prescription medication, which caused an adverse reaction. Amy’s dad, Mitch Winehouse, clarified what really happened to The Sun:
Amys dad Mitch revealed the real reason behind Amy’s trip to hospital at the weekend, and it’s not pretty.
He said: “She’s fine, she just had a little (Mitch points to his chest) leaky something or other.”
The Mirror clarified further:
A friend of Amy’s adds: “She saw something oozing out on to her top. She was worried as they looked wonky and to see stuff seeping out was horrible.”
Unless Amy’s skin is paper thin, none of the leaking should be visible on the outside of the skin, unless something is terribly wrong, which would explain the hospitalization. For Amy’s sake, I hope those are full of saline, and not silicone. I am inclined to believe the mixed medication story more than the leaking.
Amy Winehouse Losing Her Top

Amy Winehouse, according to her father Mitch, is off drugs and alcohol, and she got her chest enlarged, surgically, but she still looks like a train wreck, and acts like one too:
Despite her father’s insistence that she has overcome her troubles, many were left wondering if he was being a tad optimistic.
Winehouse single-handedly brought the Q Awards to a halt in front of stunned guests as she failed to arrive on time for her presenting duties.
The troubled star was due to hand over the prize for the most inspirational artist alongside reggae singer Don Letts.
But Letts was forced back into his seat while embarrassed host Al Murray frantically tried to fill time and organizers searched for the singer.
After several minutes Letts was called back to the stage to present the award to band The Specials with no sign of Winehouse.
Midway through The Specials’ acceptance speech, Winehouse finally arrived, picking her way through the audience and clambering on stage – only to be given a furious talking to by an angry Letts.
Clearly hoping to make a show stopping entrance in the skimpiest of cocktail dresses which showed off her £5,000 chest enlargement surgery, she succeeded for all the wrong reasons.
As the group left the stage she grabbed a microphone shouting down to a hushed crowd, "I know you’ve been to these awards a million times but give it up for The Specials," which brought muted applause from the crowd.
All this was witnessed by her 13-year-old goddaughter Dionne Bromfield whom she had starred with on Strictly Come Dancing recently.
Explaining her tardy arrival to the Daily Mail after the event she looked visibly unsteady as she slurred:
"What’s it to you, I was doing my hair. F*ck off."
Things deteriorated further when Robert Plant arrived on stage to collect the Outstanding Contribution to Music Award in front of a room that included singer Lily Allen and bands Kasabian and the Stereophonics.
As he came to the end of his emotional thank you speech Winehouse heckled from the back of the room across a hushed floor.
It stopped the veteran star in his tracks before he regained his composure and continued.
Her late showing at the Grosvenor House Hotel in central London was even more surprising given that organizers had booked her a suite upstairs in the building in a desperate bid to ensure that she would turn up on time.
What a mess.
Amy Winehouse Performs at V Festival – Video
Amy Winehouse could hardly be heard when performed You’re Wonder Now at the V Festival in Hylands Park in the U.K. as a sing-along guest of The Specials.
The parts I could hear of Amy sounded like her voice is almost gone. Drugs, cigarettes, and alcohol aren’t good for vocal cords.
We are wondering if Amy will ever release another album. Having a great voice is a gift that can be easily lost.
Amy Winehouse Back On Drugs

Amy Winehouse will be coming to the USA, to Florida state to be specific, and after her visa was finally approved Amy has alarmed her parents that she may start seeing Blake Fielder-Civil again. Amy has even started partying again, despite claims she was clean and sober. The white powder on Amy’s nose tells a different story in our opinion. Here’s more:
She had a wet stain on the front of her T-shirt, teary eyes, spotty red skin and traces of what looked like a mystery substance in her right nostril, and had to be helped to her car.
"Everyone"s been saying that Amy"s on the mend, but her behaviour was very worrying," one onlooker said.
"She didn"t seem to know what was going on and didn"t seem able to walk on her own. People were effectively holding her upright."
Miss Winehouse, 25, spent her night out with an unlikely pair of friends.
After leaving her North London home with Sadie Frost"s ex-boyfriend Kristian Marr, bass player in punk rock band Towers of London, they picked up entertainer David Gest from an address in St John"s Wood.
The trio then went to The Queens pub in Primrose Hill for an hour, until Miss Winehouse emerged and headed home.
The singer has made no secret of her past struggle with drug addiction.
Last night her spokesman insisted she was not back on drugs and denied there was anything suspicious in her nose.
"Amy just went out to dinner with her friend Kristian, it"s as simple as that," the spokesman said. "Kristian also knows David Gest and that"s why he was there."
A friend of the singer"s told the Mail: "It"s not exactly a secret that Amy likes a few drinks.
"She was quite drunk that night but she didn"t take any drugs. She"s still clean and is doing really well."
We’ve seen this movie play out before. Everyone denies Amy has a problem, rather than helping Amy deal with her problem. We would like to hope this story doesn’t have a sad ending, but with everyone in denial it looks like that is where it’s headed.

I guess passed out drunk with a big stain on the front of her shirt means Amy is "doing really well."

Amy Winehouse Acquitted Of Assault In Fan Punching

A British judge acquitted Amy Winehouse on Friday of assaulting a fan who asked to take her picture, a dose of good news in the beehived soul diva’s tumultuous life.
District Judge Timothy Workman found the 25-year-old singer not guilty of punching dancer Sherene Flash in the eye after the fan asked to take her picture following a charity ball in September.
Prosecutors claimed it was a deliberate assault. But Winehouse said she had merely pushed Flash because she felt intimidated – and claimed she was too short to have punched the dancer in the face.
The judge said after hearing the evidence, he could not be sure the blow had been deliberate.
"The charge is dismissed and the defendant discharged," he said.
Winehouse, dressed in a conservative knee-length black skirt, gray jacket, white shirt and pearls, shrugged as the verdict was announced at London’s City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court. She remained in the dock until her lawyer spoke to her, apparently clarifying the verdict.
"I’m relieved. I’m going home," she said as she left court through a jostling pack of photographers and television cameras.
In a statement read by a spokesman, the singer said she was "very happy to move on with her life and put the episode behind her."
Winehouse, known as much for her chaotic lifestyle as her soulful music, appeared healthy and composed but fidgety during the two-day trial, at times singing to herself, fanning herself with a notebook and sitting cross-legged in the witness box.
Flash accused Winehouse of punching her after a ball in London’s Berkeley Square. Prosecution lawyer Lyall Thompson said the backstage incident was "a deliberate assault by Miss Winehouse."
But Winehouse said she had felt intimidated when Flash "lunged at me and put her arm around me," and had only meant to push the other woman’s arm away.
"I was scared," Winehouse said Thursday. "I thought ’People are mad these days, people are just rude and mad, or people can’t handle their drink.’
"I think she was being overly friendly but that was intimidating," Winehouse added. "I was scared. I’m not Mickey Mouse, I’m a human being."
She also said that at "5 foot 2 1/2 or 5 foot 3" (about 160 centimeters) and wearing ballet pumps, she was too short to have hit the woman in the face. Flash is 5 foot 7 inches (about 175 centimeters) tall and was wearing heels.
Prosecutor Thompson said Winehouse was under the influence of alcohol or "some other substance" when she hit Flash.
The judge said it was hard to determine what really happened because most of the people who gave evidence about the incident had been drunk at the time.
"Whilst I accept that all the witnesses have endeavored to give an accurate account of the events, all but two of them were under the influence of alcohol to varying degrees," Workman said.
He said the medical evidence presented by the prosecution did not show "the sort of injury that often occurs when there is a forceful punch to the eye."
Winehouse’s lawyer, Patrick Gibbs, said "the main injury here was probably to Miss Flash’s pride."
Winehouse shot to stardom with the Grammy-winning album "Back to Black" in 2006, but her music has been overshadowed by reports of drug use, run-ins with the law and a tempestuous marriage.
She has kept a lower profile recently, spending several months on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia and moving from her home in London’s Camden nightlife hub to a more sedate suburban neighborhood.
Earlier this month, Winehouse was granted a divorce from her husband of two years, Blake Fielder-Civil. She gave her name in court as Amy Jade Civil.
If you’re a celebrity, on drugs or drunk, you can get away with anything, anywhere, anytime, until you’re celebrity status fades, which is when Winehouse’s luck will run out.
