David Archuleta gave another great performance tonight on both songs, and the American Idol judges agreed unanimously. Archuleta is looking like he could win Idol, but he’ll have to beat Syesha Mercado. David Cook, in my opinion, will be voted off after Jason Castro, but we’ll see.

Anyone else have a prediction?

Syesha Mercado performed A Change is Gonna Come beautifully, but Randy just wasn’t feeling it. His criticism, then Paula’s opposite reaction, and Simon’s agreement that it was a great performance, caused Syesha to break down into tears (video below). She was great, and Syesha is going to be in the top two. Yes she can.

Jason Castro gave two uninspired, and lazy performances tonight. His delusional self image has shown itself, which explains the dread locks. Jason thinks he’s a Bob Marley and Bob Dylan type, but nothing could be further from the truth. In the video above Jason butchers Marley’s song I shot the Sheriff, then later her butchers, and even forgets a few lines, of a Dylan song. Horrible, and the judges agreed.

My prediction is that Castro will be voted off. He earned it, and he knows it.

Jason Castro was at the Mirage in Las Vegas, Nevada, kissing a dolphin when it moved and he ran from it like a little girl. Hahaha. His dreadlocks probably tickled the poor dolphin.

It finally happened. Simon Cowell’s least favorite American Idol contestant, Brooke White, was FINALLY voted off. Brooke said at the start "I’ll let the chips fall where they may," then today the chips were gone, and there were only crumbs left. Before her final number Brooke cried really hard, then fought threw her sobs to say:

"I just want to say thank you. It’s going to be terrible for me right now, but thank you."

I’d like to see Brooke perform, and I’m sure I will at a local coffee shop somewhere in Los Angeles.
