David Cook WINS American Idol

Not only did David Cook win American Idol, but Simon Cowell actually APOLOGIZED to Cook for his comments he described as verging on disrespectful.

I had picked David Archuleta to win American Idol, and I was wrong. Archuleta is going home.

Cook won by 12 million votes! A crushing victory.

Congratulations to DAVID COOK! Your Idol.

David Archuleta WINS American Idol

David Archuleta wins American Idol is the title I will be writing next week when the winner is announced.

David Cook gave a great performance, but Archuleta was so much better. Simon Cowell agrees calling Archuleta’s performance a "knock out."

This was an easy one to predict so many shows ago. Archuleta’s talent just shines through.

David Archuleta Father Investigated for Child Sexual Abuse

American Idol contestant David Archuleta’s father has been put in the spotlight, and when that happens people start digging for dirt, and Star Magazine found some.

According to Star, Jeff Archuleta was accused of sexually abusing two children over the course of a three month period. Police did not arrest Jeff though, because a police source said "One of the alleged victims denied any abuse had taken place and said the in-law was lying." The source added that it came out the in-law who had made the child abuse allegations "had promised Barbie dolls to the two alleged victims if they backed up the false claim."

That’s cold.

Fantasia Freaks Out Simon Cowell on American Idol

Fantasia gave a freaky performance tonight on American Idol. The look on Simon Cowell’s face says it all. The song was a lot of yelling and booty shaking, but nothing that could be danced to. I’m not even sure it was bad, it was just off, and I don’t mean off the hook, I mean different, but that’s Fantasia. She does give an energetic show, and usually sweats like a pig. As Ryan Seacrest was spreading on the compliments she tried to grab and kiss him. The whole experience sent cold shivers down my spine. Video of Fantasia’s performance is below.
