Do Star Jones, and Al Reynolds look like a married couple? I don’t believe so. They look more like a girl who married her best gay friend, kind of like a Will and Grace type relationship. If it quacks like a duck, it’s a duck. Al sure quacks like he’s gay to me.

Star Jones, a lawyer, has been trying to silence divorce rumors, but that isn’t stopping the gay rumors about Al. On Monday at 4 a.m. a mystery man rang Al’s lobby buzzer, then asked for Al by name. The man said, “I’m looking for Al Reynolds.” The person reporting this was Star and Al’s neighbor who’s buzzer the mystery man buzzed by mistake. “He was a really big black guy in a bucket hat,” said the neighbor, who glimpsed Reynolds’ gentleman caller on his TV monitor via the building’s closed-circuit cameras.

Jones’ spokesman, Brad Zeifman, downplayed the incident. He said Star and Al “have been continuously harassed at all hours of the night after their address was made public, and, fortunately, the two of them were not home on this night.”

Al Reynolds’ neighbor says that, during daylight hours, Jones’ mustachioed hubby is a regular sight around the building, except in very informal dress.

“I know Al. I see him in the elevator all the time, in Spandex,” the neighbor said, adding that Jones and Reynolds appear to be together “only when they go to parties. They are always together at night when they go to events. They drive around the neighborhood in a new car, a black 2007 S-Class 550 Mercedes.” (A Fag and his hag)

A different source said that last weekend, Reynolds stepped out on the town with some male pals but without Jones. Al’s previously been spotted alone at nightclubs (or Gay Clubs?) on the East End. Last year, he was denied entrance at one Hamptons nightclub after showing up with a gaggle of guys.

Duck, duck, goose!

Star Jones isn’t what I picture when I think of lap dance, and I’ll bet soon-to-be ex husband Al Reynolds is thinking of something else during this nightmare experience. If you’ve never had morning sickness, then this might be as close as you can get to knowing how it feels.

Star Jones is disputing Wednesday’s New York Post story reporting that the former View cohost has been telling her Hamptons friends that her 21-month marriage to Al Reynolds is over.

“Reality has finally caught up with them,” a friend who requested anonymity told Page Six.

“She’s heartbroken over the turn of events,” said another pal. “She really wanted it to work, and she thought it just might work, but in the end, it just wasn’t going to happen.”

Star earned the nickname “Bridezilla” by shamelessly plugging the freebies that stores and companies provided for her wedding. Then, right after the nuptials, on Nov. 13, 2004, she slimmed down in a suspiciously short period of time.

“Here she lost all that weight – and put her job on the line – in order to keep him,” said one Hamptonite. “Star has resigned herself to the fact that they’re not going to spend the rest of their lives together.”

Star’s rep issued the following statement on her behalf:

“These categorically false stories and their continuation are clearly being generated by someone for vindictive reasons alone. [Star Jones and Al Reynolds’] legal representatives have been investigating the source and motivation of these boldfaced lies for some time now and are very close to exposing the individual who has perpetrated them. At which time, appropriate legal action will be taken.”

It is important to note that Star did NOT deny the report/rumor that Al Reynolds visited a prominent divorce attorney. Star may be denying these rumors because she may be the last one to know Al is divorcing her, which is usually the case. The money has dried up, so it makes sense for Al to take the money and run.

Lloyd Grove reports today that Star Jones and Al Reynolds’ home at 300 East 90th Street, New York, originally put on the market for $2.5 million last June, has now been reduced to $2.25 million. The penthouse triplex comes with a sauna, huge roof terrace, and a bathroom that includes a framed picture of Star herself (which is more effective than Ex-Lax).
