Adam Sandler (41) broke his ankle playing basketball on Saturday, but he says he still won the game. Sandler is currently filming Bedtime Stories, and will continue work on the film since he broke his ankle not his funny bone.

Allen Covert was arrested on the set of his latest Adam Sandler collaboration after he got into an altercation with a photographer. Covert was arrested by the LAPD at around 6:00 PM PT on the set of Bedtime Stories. He was charged with battery and was eventually released.

The paparazzi was on the sidewalk outside the high school they were filming at. Covert argued with him, spit on him, and tried to slap the camera out of hand. The sidewalk is a public area, so the paparazzi have every right to be there, even with cameras.

Adam Sandler was on the set at the time with his daughter. Guy Pearce and Courteney Cox-Arquette, who also star in the movie, were also there as well, and saw the whole thing go down.

Celebrities are just going to have to get used to life with the paparazzi around. As long as the paparazzi aren’t breaking the law, they have every legal right to do what they do.

Update: Covert was upset because he thought the photographer was filming his kid, which still doesn’t give him the right to assault another person on a public sidewalk, that’s a job for police.

Adam Sandler, his 19-month-old daughter Sadie, and his wife Jackie, went to Hawaii for a little vacation. Adam just finished filming for his latest film You Don’t Mess With the Zohan, about an Israeli Mossad agent who fakes his own death, only to reemerge in New York as a hairdresser. The movie comes out June 6. In the picture above Adam is declining a lei which is used to welcome guests. With great fame comes the great fear that someone might just use a lei to choke you.

Katharine McPhee and Anna Faris are making a movie called House Bunny that is sure to arouse the interest of critics and movie goers alike:

Katharine McPhee shoots a carwash scene for her upcoming comedy "House Bunny," co-starring Anna Faris. The comedy is being produced by Adam Sandler. The script, by Legally Blonde scribes Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten Smith, centers on a Playboy bunny (Faris) who gets kicked out of the Playboy Mansion and becomes the house mother to the lamest sorority on a college campus. McPhee plays one of the sorority girls- a pregnant hippy. The film also co-stars Colin Hanks, Rumer Willis, and All-American Rejects frontman Tyson Ritter.

This is what sorority girls are supposed to look like. Hot, slim, physically fit, and smart, yet willing and able. It took me about 10 minutes of staring at these pictures before I noticed that Katharine McPhee is standing right next to Anna Faris. It’s hard to see McPhee with Anna’s perfect butt in the way.

Adam Sandler says there’s a moral to his upcoming movie, in which he plays a heterosexual fireman who pretends to be gay.

"This movie says there’s nothing wrong with being gay. There’s just something wrong with being gay for Kevin James," Sandler told Newsweek.

James, star of the CBS comedy "The King of Queens," and Sandler portray firemen pretending to be a gay couple to receive domestic partnership benefits. The film, "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry," is scheduled to be released July 20.

"I know Kevin, and it’s kind of a strange thing to have to play. So to ease the tension, before the first day of shooting, we had sex with each other," Sandler said. "We just got it out of the way so it wouldn’t be an issue. It’s an old tip I picked up from working with Jack Nicholson."
