Newly-single Jessica Simpson is hoping a chance
meeting with British popstar James Blunt ends more happily than the brief
encounter he croons about in his megahit, "You’re Beautiful." While at the MTV
Australia Video Music Awards, says a friend of Jessica, she "was determined to
meet him," and gave Blunt, 29, her cell phone number and e-mail address. "She
was glowing the rest of the night," says the source.

"Obviously Jess goes for the sensitive singers." And if
James doesn’t call or email, the source said that Jessica hopes to
see James when he’s in California for an April 30 gig.

Nick Lachey is now offering a more thorough peek inside his former marriage to Jessica Simpson than viewers were allowed to see on their Newlyweds reality series.

“Jessica and I began playing these parts even when we were by ourselves,” he says of their roles. “It became a really blurred line. There was a question about what truly was our reality.”

Lachey, 32, makes the comments to Rolling Stone in a new interview. Among the singer’s more startling revelations: “I’ll tell you how I knew my marriage was over: I was told.”

He tells the magazine he was “blindsided” when his then-wife told him after dinner last November: “I think I want a divorce.”

“I basically said, ‘Please, let’s sleep on it.’ But when we woke up the next day, Wednesday, she was still sure,” he says.

As for lingering doubts about his three-year-marriage, Lachey admits: “I don’t know if there were other men. But if she did cheat, it was the result of something bigger, not the reason we didn’t work. … Sometimes I think it would be easier if I had just walked in the house and found her in bed with a guy. That would be clear-cut. End of story. I wouldn’t have to deal with the uncertainty of adultery.”

Lachey also lifts the veil on his feelings about ex-father-in-law (and Jessica’s manager) Joe Simpson. “I don’t pretend to understand Joe,” he says. “I don’t know if he ever liked me. To this day I couldn’t say. It was painful. Do I think Joe drove a rift between us? No. Was he an influence in our marriage? Absolutely.”

In related news, the music publication also says that singer-songwriter Adam Green has a big new hit in Germany called “Jessica,” described as an unflattering ditty about Nick’s ex. Its lyrics reportedly mention her “fraudulent smile” and “injections of cortisone.”

Jessica Simpson pulled out the big guns today after her fight with Lindsay Lohan.  Jessica could be heard mumbling, "Hey Lindsay, got milk?, flat chested b ach."

Jessica is definitely using the right approach especially since she will be starring in the Baywatch movie rather than Pamela Anderson Lee.

I’m hoping she heads to the beach next for some string bikini publicity shots.

Jessica Simpson will appear in a movie remake of ‘Baywatch’. Jessica will play a sexy lifeguard in the film version of the hit 90s show, which turned Pamela Anderson into a star. The ‘Newlyweds’ beauty may even copy Pamela’s famous slow-motion running in the movie. Wouldn’t that be special?

A source is quoted in Britain’s The Sun newspaper as saying: “Jessica really caught their eye in ‘The Dukes of Hazzard’ film last summer. “She was the unanimous choice for the ‘Baywatch’ role.” The insider added: “Jessica has all the assets to make the part her own.”

Jessica apparently won’t have any problem flaunting her curves in one of the skimpy red swimsuits worn by the film’s lifeguards, because she loves her breasts. The blonde star, who recently split from husband Nick Lachey after three years of marriage, recently said she thinks her boobs are wonderful and insists she wouldn’t do a thing to change her perfect mammaries.

She said: “I have amazing boobs. They’re just perfect.” How many girls can say that? Ah Jessica, you’re so humble.
