Tommy Lee and Ashlee Simpson are the two latest celebrities playing the real estate game. It all started when Ryan Seacrest bought Kevin Costner’s home a few months ago. Then Gwen Stefani bought J.Lo’s former place, and now the tattooed rocker is plunking down millions for Ashlee’s sprawling home in Encino, CA. An insider says that Tommy needs a bigger place to raise his two kids with Pamela Anderson, and he’s also looking to settle down with his new girlfriend, Erin Nass. But believe it or not, what really sold Tommy on the place, which has an asking price of close to $6 million, was Ashlee’s 1,300 sq. ft. walk-in closet, the insider says. Even though he’s usually in the same outfit, the insider says that Tommy has over 500 pairs of jeans, 1,000 T-shirts and more shoes than most women! "Tommy fell in love with the closets," the insider says. "That’s what sold him on Ashlee’s home." They’re still negotiating the final price and the closing date, but the insider says it’s a done deal. We wonder what celeb neighbors Carnie Wilson, Pink, Jamie Foxx and Teri Hatcher will do to welcome him to the neighborhood!

I just have to rub in a little more salt into Jessica Simpson’s fragile ego. Here’s a video of Ashlee Simpson in Chicago with her Broadway debut in London. Ashlee sings about her nose, so funny, and her back isn’t sexy, but overall an okay performance. Better than I expected.
