Alicia Keys was quoted by Blender magazine as saying:

"Gangsta rap was a ploy to convince black people to kill each other."

Although Alicia said her statements were misrepresented, Blender said they stand by their story.

50 Cent, who was shot 9 times and lived, heard about Alicia’s comments, so he made a comment of his own. He said:

"… That statement changes my perception of Alicia Keys totally. But the magazine is standing behind it, which means they probably have a tape of her in conversation saying it. It’s just not really a bright comment …"

50 Cent cancelled concert dates for Hong Kong, Manila, Jakarta, and South Korea. He said the cancellations were due to "personal reasons," but we hear he could barely sell any tickets. A source from Korea said they didn’t even realize he was coming, and even if they did know they wouldn’t have gone to his concert. Ouch! Looks like 50 Cent won’t be missed in Asia. Maybe they heard he lost the bet with Kanye, and promised to retire, but didn’t.

Curtis Jackson took Shaniqua Tomkins to court after refusing to agree to her requests for more money for the upkeep of the 10-year-old. Tomkins previously asked for $50,000 a month but was granted just half of that sum – $25,000 a month – when the court viewed her and her son’s expenses. But that figure was reduced further earlier this week, and Tomkins will now only receive $6,700 a month.

Their child is 10 years-old. Mama needs to get a job.
