50 cent wins in family court 50 Cent Wins in Family Court

The new list of Top Earning African American Stars by Forbes has been released, and 50 Cent made number 2, right behind Oprah Winfrey. 50 Cent made $150 million between June of 2007 and June of 2008, and because of recent family court ruling he won’t have to worry about losing some of that money to his ex girlfriend.

The mother of 50 Cent’s son and former girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins, sued 50 Cent for $50 million claiming he promised to take care of her for the rest of his life. Well

Justice Carol Edmead dismissed all 15 claims brought by Tompkins, with whom he has an 11-year-old son, calling the case "an unfortunate tale of a love relationship gone sour."

"I’m very thankful for this decision," 50 Cent said. "I knew that once the facts were heard that justice would prevail. I hope now that we can put this behind us and move forward with our lives."

In addition to her claim that Fiddy promised to give her half his earnings for life, Tompkins also alleged that the 32-year-old rapper promised to give her his Dix Hills home—the same Long Island property that, unfortunately, burned down in May 2008. A month later, Tompkins filed for a restraining order against 50 Cent, so he responded by filing a $20 million defamation suit against his very estranged ex.

"Ms. Tompkins’ claims pertaining to a $50 million verbal contract were entirely frivolous," said the rapper’s attorney, Brett Kimmel. "In dismissing the case before trial, the court is sending a clear message. This is a complete and total victory for 50."

It’s a good thing 50 Cent didn’t marry that psycho. Only 7 more years until 50 Cent will be free of dealing with miss crazy.

50 Cent Wins Visitation with His Son in Court

50 Cent Wins Visitation with His Son in Court

A Long Island judge granted 50 Cent, aka Curtis Jackson, an unrestricted visit from August 3-12 with his son Marquise. Before the judge even considered visitation he had both 50 Cent and Shaniqua Tomkins drug tested.

50 Cent was clean.

Shaniqua tested positive … for cough syrup *cough cough*.

Shaniqua complained that 50 Cent won’t let her drive the Land Rover SUV parked at 50 Cent’s house that burned to the ground, and has guards there to prevent her from using it. 50 Cent denied the allegation.

The couple are back in court on September 15.

50 Cent is doing a great job keeping a level head through this difficulty, but Shaniqua can’t keep her mouth shut. On the way into court she broke a heal talking crap about 50 Cent to the media.

50 Cent and Shaniqua Tompkins Still at War

50 Cent Sues Shaniqua Tomkins

Yesterday 50 Cent, aka Curtis Jackson, had Shaniqua Tompkins served with papers for his $20 million defamation lawsuit on outside a Suffolk County, N.Y., court. The suit was filed in response to offensive and false statements made by Shaniqua.

Despite the defamation lawsuit, Tompkins repeated the remarks in court to get a judge to grant a temporary restraining order against 50 Cent. Tompkins asked the judge to keep 50 Cent away from her, and their son, despite Tompkins angrily demanding 50 Cent call and visit their son after a fire burned the house down that she was living in.

50 Cent’s attorney also filed a visitation petition alleging that since the fire, Tompkins has been deliberately preventing the rapper from seeing his son in part by not revealing their new place of residence, in direct violation of a court order from last June. The attorney said:

"She’s completely cut him off from his son. The trouble in the relationship is driven by the anger and hostility that’s coming from her."

Tompkins says she won’t reveal where she and Marquise are staying to Jackson, because the fire (she claims was set by 50 Cent) "was a threat on my life. This is my child’s life. This is our lives."

HG readers overwhelmingly voted in a recent poll they believe Tompkins set the fire that burned the house she was living in down. The home was owned by 50 Cent, and was at a legal dispute where Tompkins claimed 50 Cent gave it to her as a gift.

Both 50 Cent and Tompkins need counseling. The courts would serve the child best by ordering the counseling rather than issuing restraining orders to keep the fight going.
