You know even in a fantasy, there should be that substance of realness in characters that connects readers with the story? I didn't feel it, the romance is almost beyond belief and just seems like a manipulation on the author's part with some scenes of seduction to distract the readers from how empty it is. I wouldn't say Meyer is a horrible writer, her style's okay; but she just seems to lack a lot of humor in her story to me. Feel free to disagree with me on this, but this is what I feel.
