Simon knows nothing. Fantasia has been one of the more successful Idols in terms of album sales marketing herself to the hip-hop crowd. Simon doesn’t do hip-hop. If Fantasia put out an album of songs like “Summertime”, do you know what would happen? She’d sing them great, and it would be lucky to sell 200,000 copies. Wonderful idea, Simon. That’s from the man that thought Il Divo would go over big.
