Scott Kalitta Dies in Racing Crash
Scott Kalitta (46) was killed on Saturday in New Jersey. Scott was racing his Funny Car at around 300 MPH when the car burst into flames, then smashed head-on into a barrier. Scott is a two-time Top Fuel champion. The burns to his body, and trauma from hitting the barrier, were so severe, he was pronounced dead after arriving at a nearby hospital.
