I think she’s a striking lady, but Newsweek should be ashamed of themselves.
I expect there to be a lot of nasty letters written to the editor.

She also has man hands, sausage lips, and a receeding hairline.I’m sure these strip club attendees saw more than they bargained for …

Are you kidding?
THIS is scandalous and setting a bad example? She’s clearly off the training wheels and far too old to NEED a helmet.
- LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian Make Out Video
She’s just trash, plain and simple.
I don’t respect anyone who cheats.
And do they really think people are stupid? Seriously? “Just friends?” Yea, we must be stupid ..She’s morally corrupt … obviously.
Her husband should use this opportunity to tarnish her reputation (even further), divorce her, and use this video as proof of infidelity. He’d become a rich man. - Jessica Simpson No Starve Diet
Skinny or fat, Jessica Simpson is still a moronic hasbeen. - Melanie Chisholm with baby Scarlet Star
Cute baby! I guess that puts to rest all the lesbian rumors.
Although I’m still not convinced …

Who.freaking.cares.about.this.stupid.picture.
For God sakes people get a grip.
BTW- it’s not about sexism, it’s about not liking the candidate.
It is not sexist to dislike Palin because she’s proven herself to be unready to do more than deliver a keynote address at a convention. Her egotism has made her jump at a job she isn’t remotely ready to handle. Palin is an embarrassment. Long after the election is over, even conservative pundits will point to her nomination by McCain as the beginning of the end of his campaign.
News magazines are generally prohibited from doing touch-ups, and there’s trouble when they do (like adding extra bodies to that war photo you’re looking at? bad). Same goes for their photos of people. I wonder if people are only upset because one of her major selling points is that she’s attractive, and this potentially diminishes that.
If I can wack one out looking at her piture, then it’s acceptable.
People complain and bellyache that magazines are full of Photoshop faces/bodies, and here’s Newsweek with a real untouched photo of Palin, and people still complain! GET OVER IT!! It’s obviously a vanity issue … Don’t you want America to see the REAL YOU??? I do, and I think you’re beautiful, THERE’S NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT PHOTO, your actions is what turns me off!
wow, if this is a big deal, wait till a real problem comes along…oh wait, that’s right the economy’s in the crapper thanks to bush, so instead of talking about how mccain is not going to fix that, reps have to throw a hissy fit about some facial hair…oh quit screwing off and worry about our 401ks please!
***HG says***
I’ll second the part about the 401Ks. The economy should be the primary concern.
I mean … are these people for real????? I feel the picture is fine, she’s a pretty woman and if she has these facial imperfections that many have “lovingly” pointed out, then so be it. Newsweek is not Elle or Vogue, retouching is not something they do, nor is it something they are required to do. Sarah has on makeup, blame the person who did it!!! Retouching is expensive and unless she’s a top model selling something, there’s no need for it. It could be worse, they could have a picture of her without makeup on. Also, i’m sure she say this photo before it was published and more than likely approved it. When did elections for president become so cosmetic and vain?
It’s not completely airbrushed, no. But it’s not totally un-retouched, either. Frankly, I would never have noticed or cared about any “imperfections” in the photo if Palin’s supporters had just kept their mouths shut. Her eye and her smile are the focal points, the features you’re drawn to look at. But now that there’s this big fuss over the photo, I can’t resist looking for mustaches hairs, blackheads or caked make-up.
My opinion: America sure has become shallow if the hair on Sarah Palin’s lip is that important. Some people need to grow up.
Blah blah blah! It’s very obvious to me now this election will go down as one of America’s most historical event. I think this is a good thing and just shows how critical this vote will change the world in the next four years!
This just proves yet again how the MSM hate this woman. I think she represents real/everyday women, flaws and all!
Let’s just be glad it isn’t an untouched photo of Joe (Botox) Biden, now that’s scary!
May be they left it untouched to give her a more “humane” image, considering the words beside her “She’s one of the folks.”
Just a guess.
Oh come on- as if Newsweeks goal was for a natural picture— give me a break
I don’t even like her as a cadidate, but think this picture is totally fine.
I don’t see anything wrong with that pictures. I mean, she is who she is. Why does it matter with touch up or not. She’s got make-up already. But anyways, I don’t see anything bad about her picture.
I think she’s a striking lady, but Newsweek should be ashamed of themselves.
