Sarah Palin Interview with Charles Gibson – Part 1 and 2
Sarah Palin gave Charles Gibson from ABC News a day and a half of her time for her first interview. Above and below we’ve provided parts 1 and 2.
Barack Obama gave Bill O’Reilly 30 minutes of his time, which is why Bill seemed so rushed.
I thought Sarah did extremely well in the interview, and demonstrated a current understanding of the current issues we are facing. Critics today agree.
To see how the Presidential race is shaping up go to pollster.com. Although it is not completely up-to-date, a new poll this morning shows Washington state now has Barack Obama leading with 49% and John McCain with 47%, which is a 12% jump for McCain.

Hey now the killer on the Bus thing is Winnipeg… No one likes that place. ID rather be in a trunk duck taped then that place.
Maybe you should focus on problems with healthcare system, innocent people getting decapitated and eaten on buses and high taxes.
what is with americans and politics? If you are a conservative your a conservative… if your a liberal your a liberal… No matter what leader does on any side they will follow and its so hard to sway them from their party.
They will spin anything to make their party seem better.
In canada… If our party are screw ups we look for better heads. I use to be a liberal… But now their leader is a fool so now i lean towards the NDP. And their leader is crazy! But his crazyness seems to be the only one making sense anymore…
But we have very different types of government, We pick a party with a leader (so Conservatives, Liberals, NDP, Green, Block Quebecois…. Rhinoceros party?) I;m not going to explain it all… Anyway we have a minority government at the time being meaning the conservatives had the most votes but not over 50% so if the other parties want they can outvote them. So I like that we have more of a choice than 2 people. SUre we have 2 parties more powerful thna the rest buit we can still get the other ones some seats.
So the american political system may just be something I don’t understand.
I only know is that I do not like the idea of bringing christian values to the masses. It’s too old fashioned and rediculous.
I also didn’t find that Sarah Palin did too well i nthis interview. But no matter what politician you get they will dance around the questions. Donkey or Elephant.
I just wish we could get a straight answer from any politician once and a while.
ROFL…. give me a freaking break. Obama is the epitome of glossing over topics and not saying a damn thing. He can speak for 45 minutes, say hope and change a million different ways and still at the end have said absolutely nothing.
The interview hosted by the biased interviewer charlie gibson proved to be a slam against a conservative female. Charlie would never have conducted the interview in the same manner of slams if the guest were Obama (who has little experience in international politics and he is running as President!), or mrs clinton – however, since charley is a flaming democrat, he is obviously incapable of hosting a truly unbiased interview – frankly, I was BORED. Is there a strong communicator in broadcasting capable of hosting a proper interview of the candidates???? Regarding the issues, charlie failed to accept Sarah’s response when he asked about the right for Americans to strike proactively if Americans have STRONG AND CONVINCING EVIDENCE that our securty is in danger – what do you think charlie? Wait til we are hit with a nuclear bomb before striking??? your views are unbelievable – this does not mean that Bush is correct or that we should still be in Iraq – Sarah did great. Charlie you tried to bully her because you are a man, and it did not work!!!! Backlash will certainly follow. The best you could find is where Sarah has said all global warming is not man made, and now states in essence the same – not all global warming is man made ( nor can it be proved that all global warming is man made!!!

I think she, much like the blogger for this site, gets confused easily. I don’t think she would do a good job running the country. it scares me think that that is a possibility.

You must be confused. Did we both watch the same interview of Sarah Palin?
Can she answer a direct question? She likes to dance around here.
“I thought Sarah did extremely well in the interview, and demonstrated a current understanding of the current issues we are facing.”
Haa. Not from what I heard. She was stumped on the Bush Doctrine, not really knowing what it was. People must be delusional to think that she did well in the interview.

I put the videos of Sarah’s interview right there in the article you just commented on, yet you didn’t watch them, and commented only on what you heard? I’m not even going to ask if you graduated from high school.
FYI: The man who wrote 4 books on The Bush Doctrine, said it means many things to many people, and is a vague term that doesn’t have the same meaning for everyone. I’d think if Sarah didn’t know The Bush Doctrine as well as you’d expect, that you’d see that as a positive, since she wouldn’t represent another 4 years of Bush, but it appears you’re only trying to find fault in a good interview.
