Sarah Palin in Tales From the Crypt Comic

Sarah Palin mania has made its way into a Tales From the Crypt comic book. In the issue Sarah yells, "Didn’t we get rid of you guts in the 50’s?" The reference is to Palin’s effort to ban some books, as well as to the wave of censorship that forced Crypt’s original publisher to shut it down in 1955.
"According to Jim Salicrup, editor-in-chief of Papercutz, the publisher that revived the classic title about 16 months ago. "This was not a partisan thing. People tend to think of everything as black and white these days—you are either for or against one of the parties 100%. But for us this was about the history of EC Comics, the original publisher of ’Tales from the Crypt.’ Anyone who knows that history knows that even of whiff of banning books is going to get us angry."
The issue also features an editorial by Cathy Gaines Mifsud, daughter of late great EC Comics publisher and MAD magazine founder William Gaines:
"Tales From the Crypt is not endorsing any political candidates, nor are we attacking any candidates. What usually seems to be behind banning books is an attempt to repress ideas that may offer alternative political views. This is not only un-American—blatantly violating the very concept of free speech—but it is assuming that people are unable to come to their own informed conclusions."
I’d like to see an issue that highlights the liberal media’s ongoing suppression of conservative views, but as we all know this is a one sided debate. Still, I support freedom of the press, and freedom of speech.

What do you mean our friends at Gitmo? Do you have a mouse in your pocket?

You make my point about the nutjobs on the Left. The detainees at Guantanamo Bay may be your friends, they aren’t mine or most of America’s. Do us all a favor and go hug a suicide bomber.
Black Jesus? The real Jesus was a lot closer to black than most people want to admit. Come to think of it, he probably looked alot like our friends in Gitmo, and I think he was considered a terrorist by the conservative right.
But I think the Crypties have the spirit right, and I applaud them for it. SP would very likely ban books frowned upon by her spiritual community and many far worse things. She earned the lampoon many times over.

You are a very disturbed individual who should seek psychiatric therapy at your earliest opportunity.
The utter disregard for truth or understanding among the Left is alarming. The whole canard about Palin censoring or wanting to censor books is rubbish. All the Left requires for it to gin up its attack dogs is for one person to stand up and point a finger. That is precisely what happened here. One pathetic librarian, a former hippie, claimed Palin had a book list with censorship in mind. That’s it. Upon examination, the slavering media found it to be unfounded. That’s right, a media bent on ripping the Gov. to shreds (but not conducting one credible investigation in Black Jesus’ dubious resume) came away with nothing, yet that doesn’t phase those esteemed literatie on the Left. As their great leader Karl Marx aptly stated what has become the MSM mantra, “A lie told often enough will be taken as truth.”
