Samantha Ronson Pays Perez Hilton Legal Fees

Samantha Ronson sued Perez Hilton (aka Mario Lavandeira) for defamation in 2007, after he wrote that Samantha owned the cocaine found in Lindsay Lohan’s car after she smashed her car into a tree in May of 2007. A judge threw the case out in January of 2008, and ordered Ronson to pay Perez’s $86,832 in legal fees.
Ronson was due in court on Monday to tell the court how and when she would be paying her debt, but she can skip that now since she paid Perez on Friday.
No one was charged with cocaine possession for the cocaine found in Lohan’s car.

It wasn’t smart of Sam to sue Perez, he can say anything he wants on his ‘gossip’ blog. If the allegation had been in print, she might have had a case then. I don’t think Perez has ever liked her and it was a personal attack.
