Ron White Arrested for Pot Possession
Ron White, who performed with the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, was arrested yesterday in Vero Beach, Florida for marijuana possession.
An anonymous tipster informed police that a plane would be landing at the Vero Beach Airport with a passenger who was carrying illegal drugs. That passenger was Ron White. Ron and the pilot were the only ones on board. Police said White was cooperative during the search, which yielded less than three grams of weed as well as a pipe.
Ron was booked about 6 PM, and released on $1,000 bail at about 8 PM. Ron was an hour late to his show at the Sunrise Theater due to his arrest.
It seems like a waste of police resources to bust one person who isn’t dealing drugs, harassing or hurting anyone, and not driving while intoxicated. I do not advocate drugs, but in this case, I hope the charges are dropped against White.

What a waste of resources…for pot???? The Federal government is spending more of your taxes on failed policies…unbelievable….
Yeah, what a waste. How many murders, robberies, & rapes took place while the entire Vero Beach PD was on the tarmac to jack up this nationally known celebrity?
But you have to know why. Under “Zero Tolerance” laws the police can petition the court for posession any vehicle used in commission of a crime. Yes, that’s right: the can steal a multi-million dollar private jet for less than 3 grams of pot. It’s much more profitable than fighting real crime. The people of this town are not safe because the cops won’t be bothered by small time criminals – there’s no money in it.
We have less to fear from the criminals than the cops – perhaps we should put the cops in jail.
