Robin Williams to Have Aortic Valve Heart Surgery

Robin William (57) was admitted to a hospital in Florida after complaining of shortness of breath during two performances this week. It was determined that Williams will need to have his aortic valve replaced.

Williams has been on an 80 city one man show tour for his Weapons of Self-Destruction. The show was so popular three additional shows were tacked on to meet the demand. The tour is suspended for now, but is expected to resume this fall. Williams said:

“I’m so touched by everyone’s support and well wishes. This tour has been amazing fun and I can’t wait to get back out on the road after a little tune-up.”
