I’ve been around with “Oprah” since she debuted …
Comment posted Republican Women Boycott Oprah Winfrey by Linda.
I’ve been around with “Oprah” since she debuted in 1985 or 1986 in California. I never liked a “talk show” until Oprah came. We, as a female nation, has had our ups and downs with Oprah’s life and TV show……but when it comes to politics……it is true…..NEVER voice a personal opinion on National TV! I feel that she has violated our secret code of ethics as women and now betrayed her credibility as well. She now moved from a “woman for a woman” advocate, to now playing her “race card”. And they say it doesn’t exist…..hummmmm.

I stopped watching Oprah after her diatribe about hamburger. It occurred to me that there were millions of people in America who had stopped thinking for themselves and now were being led around by celebrities. What credentials does Hollywood have to be “experts” in all things? Actors, actresses, talk show hosts are there to do one thing….entertain. They are certainly entitled to their opinion, just not a national platform.
I am boycotting Oprah. This is just one of her many one-sided reflections.
Uh No! The worst president in my lifetime and I have been around for a while is George W. Bush and THAT HG is a fact!

I like your enthusiasm.

Please try to be more thoughtful. Your article suggests that ALL women should jump on the Palin train regardless of policy or ideology. I believe you did not intend on implying that women should abandon their beliefs just to vote in ANY woman regardless of whether her views are reflective of our beliefs. We have come too far to have to go back to those days of sexism. Please clarify. “Putting a woman in the White House used to be a priority for Democrats when it was their candidate, but now they want to talk about any issue”
Also, isn’t Oprah entitled to her own opinion?

Oprah has campaigned for, and publicly endorsed, Barack Obama, so her denying an interview for Sarah Palin gives the appearance of bias, despite the fact her audience clearly wants to hear Sarah speak on Oprah’s show.
To clarify, women should not abandon their beliefs just because Palin is a woman, but they should stand up to Oprah for being so openly biased against Palin simply because Palin is a Republican woman. Oprah is making her show into a political platform simply by denying Palin equal time, and women should reject that form of political party sexism. This race isn’t about a political party, it’s about us, and our future as a country.
I know i stopped watching oprah when i found out she was a big fat obama lover. all liberals are hypocrites!

To be fair, we can all be hypocrites. I would rather debate a single example than give all liberals the hypocrite label, but this is definitely a good example.
Oprah has never interviewed someone during their presidential campaign. She never had Clinton on when she was running. Obama was interviewed before the presidential race while he was still a senator.
Obama will make a great president. He will go down as one of the greatest ever.

That’s what they said about the worst President ever … Jimmy Carter (Democrat).
