Randy Pausch, who was made famous by his Last Lecture, has died from Pancreatic cancer. Randy was only 47 years-old. Randy leaves behind a wife and three children.

Last September, Pausch’s Last Lecture, the full name of which is Randy Pausch Last Lecture: Achieving Your Childhood Dreams, became a viral phenomenon, and was even retold in its entirety on Oprah.

Randy was an inspiration to us all. His passing is sad. Thankfully he left behind an approach to dying that can have a positive impact on those we leave behind.

Randy’s entire Last Lecture can be seen in the video above.

This is very sad news. He was a great man and an inspiration to many, including me. I was so happy to hear that J.J. gave him a small role on the new Star Trek and I was really hoping that he would make it long enough to see himself when the movie premiered in May. Thank you J.J. for making one of his dreams come true.

You will be missed my friend. Beam him up, dad

So sad….i saw him on Oprah one day. He’s really inspiring. What he said on Oprah that day gave me a new perpective in life. What Oprah would call it “Light bulb moment”. God bless n RIP.
