Maf54, a.k.a. Mark Foley, Republican former member of the United States House of Representatives who recently quit his gig after it became public that he had sent sexually explicit emails and instant messages to boys under the age of 18 who were serving as Congressional pages.

It’s a double standard that an admitted, and repetitive, child rapist like Debra LaFave did not even get punished, and is doing repeated interviews to brag about her crimes, yet when a man sends suggestive messages, without actually doing anything further in this case at least, he is crucified. Mind you, I think Foley is sick and needs to go to jail, but LaFave is even worse for doing the crimes repeatedly, then bragging about them.

The average amount of jail time for a man vs. a woman for the molestation or rape of a child aged 12-18:

Man 15-20 years plus.

Woman 80% no jail time, 20% probation or 1-3 years.
