If anybody thinks racism is non-existent in the USA they are kidding themselves, of course it does as does sexism.

Palin is a small town hack politician they had no skill and thus had to make enemies of anybody who wanted to debate her. But she appeals to the fundamentalist redneck base of the Republican party and was chosen for the very reason to get them out to vote.

  I think people in the States understand the meaning of the old phrase – just that the Republicans have to try and make something out it to hide the fact the statement points to.

  Also read now that the latest set of polls showing a Republican resurgence were rigged to produce that result – by manipulating the sample to ensure many more registered Republicans were polled. Sort of wastes the effort of polling really.

  I guess they could have many videos of families saying the war in Iraq wasted their sons lives. The war for oil that in the end achieved nothing. And cost as many American lives again as did 9/11.

  Which doesn’t say much for the intelligence of half the American people. Having just been ruined by Bush and the GOP, made enemies of all allies, wasted a trillion dollars in Iraq, over 3,ooo american soldiers dead and countless thousands of civilians, having trashed the domestic economy – they are still considering the same group again?

  You deserve what you get I guess. If the GOP win again then you will find the USA continuing to slide down the world order to be eclipsed by China, India and Europe.

  Americans continue to fall for movie stars and fanfare – which indicates why you hardly chose an intellectual or intelligent president. sigh.

  I am guessing that the owner of this site might just be a little bit of Republican supporter. ha ha

  Palin was a gimmick chosen because she was a woman and redneck and cultist Christian – suits much of the Republican base. She certainly was chosen for any abilities.

  Dont know if she was a member of the Alaska Independence Party, but you can certainly find a video of her addressing this groups convention in March of this year, congratulating them and encouraging them to keep up the good work, whatever that is supposed to mean. So obviously she has some close connection with them and strangely as governor doesn’t find anything strange in addressing them and encouraging them.

  McCain just created a major security risk in nominating her as VP. A small town politician could end up in charge of a super power and have to mix in a tough international world she knows nothing about. She cant sack half the world if they disagree with her.

  God help America if McCain now wins – hopefully he will drop her for Lieberman – then that would be a good team.
