Pitt and Jolie Related to Clinton and Obama

The New England Historic Genealogical Society, the oldest and largest nonprofit genealogical organization in the country, are claiming Hillary Clinton is related to Angelina Jolie, and Barack Obama is related to Brad Pitt. They claim Barack Obama and Brad Pitt are ninth cousins, and Hillary Clinton and Angelina Jolie are also ninth cousins.

The report also says that Obama is a very distant relative of President Bush. According to the Geological Society, they are 10th cousins, once removed … whatever that means.

According to the group, Barack is also linked to five other Presidents, including Harry S. Truman and Gerald Ford. The group also claims Hillary is a distant cousin of singers Madonna, Celine Dion and Alanis Morissette, because of French-Canadian descent on her mother’s side.

I don’t believe any of the Genealogical Society’s claim. It seems a bit too convenient that they would suddenly reveal their claims when analysts are saying both Hillary and Obama may have ruined their chances of winning the presidency. The group ties the two democrats to two of the most popular celebrities who just happen to also be a couple. Notice how they never did any kind of analysis on John McCain, which makes it obvious the Genealogical Society is politically motivated. I would never use the services of a group like this, who is willing to make up lineage to advance their political beliefs.
