Phil Spector back in Court for Muder Retrial

Phil Spector will be heading back to court for a murder retrial on charges he murdered alleged actress Lana Clarkson in 2003.

The trial will begin on September 29. In September of 2007 a jury deadlocked 10-2 in favor of a guilty verdict forcing a mistrial. Two jurors voting no sounds like there is still reasonable doubt. It must have been hard to determine what and how things happened when Lana died in 2003.

In October most of Spector’s defense team quit, which forced delays in scheduling a retrial. The new defense team is seeking to have Judge Larry Fidler removed from the case, claiming he is biased against the 68-year-old rock producer.

The prosecutors may have a tough time proving what happened, but the circumstances point to Spector’s guilt in my opinion.
