Paris Hilton Sentenced to 45 Days in Jail

A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge has sentenced Paris Hilton to 45 days in L.A. County jail for violating her probation in a reckless driving case. Judge Michael T. Sauer handed down the harsh sentence, telling Paris she will not be allowed work release, furloughs, use of an alternative jail or electronic monitoring in lieu of jail. She must do the jail time.
An emotional Paris Hilton, with tears welling up in her eyes, told the judge moments before the decision "I’m sorry, I’m sorry." Witnesses inside the courtroom say that Paris’ parent, Rick and Kathy Hilton, were both visibly upset as the sentence was handed down. Kathy, we’re told, was especially distraught. Paris’ mother Kathy said, "yeah right, this is a pathetic reality series."
Moments after Paris Hilton was sentenced to serve 45 days in jail, her mother Kathy, rushed over to the lead prosecutor and lashed out, "I want your autograph. This is pathetic." In the same breath, as she walked out of the courtroom, Kathy looked up and said, "I can’t believe all the money we spent on this." Now we know who Paris learned her bad behavior from.
Paris will serve her sentence at the Century Regional Detention Facility (CRDF). She will begin her sentence on June 5.
Paris found out today that she is accountable for her actions, and will have to spend 45 days in jail thinking about taking personal responsibility in the future.
The judge heard three witnesses on each side of the case, including Paris Hilton.
On the stand, Hilton blamed the violation on her rep Elliot Mintz, telling the judge that Mintz misled her into believing that her license was valid. The judge described Paris rep Elliot Mintz’s testimony “completely worthless.” In fact, Hilton’s license was suspended after she was busted for DUI on Sept. 7, 2006. CHP officers told the judge that they informed Hilton of her situation, to her face, when they pulled her over on January 15. Hilton was not cited for that incident.
The judge told Paris that ignorance was no excuse, and her P.R. rep was not an attorney. He added that Paris was found guilty in a DUI reckless endangerment case, and that her behavior was to be held accountable. Babye Paris.
A rep for Los Angeles City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo has released a statement in support of the decision to sentence Paris Hilton to 45 days in jail.
"City Attorney Delgadillo believes today’s ruling sends a clear message that in the City of Los Angeles, no one is above the law."

Well,well,well..Its about time this little idiot goes to jail for her stupidity!!How can she be so damned stupid not to know that her driver license is suspended!!WHAT A IDIOT!!!!!!!
I couldn’t believe it when I saw the paper this morning, but something tells me she will get a reversal on appeal.
FINALLY SOME JUSTICE IN THE WORLD! TOO BAD SHE DIDN’T GET YEARS IN PRISON! I BET THOSE INMATES ARE GOING TO BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF HER! AT LEAST, I HOPE SO.
Is Joe Francis still in jail? wooohooo…they really deserve each other.
It’s like Christmas!
She be cryin’
lolololol
Oh, BABY! Justice DOES stil exist! MY day has been MADE! This cocky little twit has always acted and believed she is WAY above the law (look at how many times she has been popped and gotten away with it). She has been porrly raised to believe the ‘Hilton name’ would get her out of anything. That’s why she pushes her way into clubs, makes racist remarks, arrogantly treats others as subordinates. Today, one Judge actually did his job properly. This guy I’d buy drinks for all night. Bless this man. I cant stand Paris Hilton, with that slimy smirk she always wears on that pouty, pasty mug-hey, I’ll bet she ain’t wearing that smirk NOW! BOOYAH, Heirhead!
The one thing Paris values the most is her personal freedom.
Now she is going to be caged——
SING BIRDIE SING !
Im glad that she didn’t get off because of her name, she deserves to be in jail, if it would have been any ordinary person, they would have gotten jail time…Yeah for justice!
Yes, finally, justice is catching up.
From her pics she looks really really upset but I guess that’s what you get when you ignore the law and she’s no differant.
Money won’t buy her out, either.
My advice to Paris—– take it easy, it’s gonna’ be a stitch-plus you’ll make new friends and get new makeup tips.
The rain falls on the just and unjust.
I wonder what she’s going to take with her to jail? Now that would an interesting topic!
thank god she didn’t get another slap on the wrist.
hallelujah!!! …finally, a judge that does his job!
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE LET HER STAY IN TIL’ MONDAY AT LEAST!!!! (thank you)
I keep pinching myself to remind myself I am indeed awake, the California justice system is actually working for once, and Paris Hilton is getting her just punishment for breaking the law. Twice. That she got caught for.
She absolutely deserves it, and I’m really glad she’s actually being held accountable for her actions, as anyone else would be.
I am giddy right now. Finally, someone gets what they deserve in Hollywood!
