Paris Hilton Hilton Gets Jail Sentence Reduced

Paris Hilton’s pals tried to get her sentence thrown out completely. That didn’t work, but the heir-head will serve only 23 days of her 45-day jail sentence in a "special needs housing unit."
The sentence reduction is the result of credit for "good behavior," said L.A. County sheriff spokesman Steve Whitmore. Good behavior, according to the sheriffs office, is showing up for one’s scheduled court date. However, most perps don’t get amnesty for showing up in court when required.
Hilton’s luxe accommodations are in a 2,200-inmate facility where police officers, public officials, celebrities and other high-profile clientele reside when they’ve behaved badly.
The celebutard will be separated from the general inmate population and gets an hour outside of her cell to bathe, watch television and talk on the phone, said Whitmore.
Hilton was sentenced to jail for violating the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. A judge ordered her to report to jail by June 5.
A call to her lawyer, DUI specialist Richard Hutton, was not immediately returned. Hilton’s flack, Elliot Mintz, declined to comment. (source)
The justice system authorities are proving once again that celebrities will be treated special because they are better than the general public, and every effort will be made to skirt fair treatment. If her sentence can be reduced from 45 days to 23 days for showing up for court, which they don’t do for anyone else, then how about subtracting another 15 days off because she didn’t kill anyone when she was driving drunk, then throw out all her remaining jail time because she’s an animal lover? In fact, the judge should ask the public to apologize for being so hard on Paris and start treating her like the rich, racial slurring, drunk driving, drug taking, princess she is. We should be in jail, not Paris.
Paris Hilton’s lawyer had planned to file an appeal at 1:30 PM today in Judge Michael Sauer’s courtroom, but Paris has officially decided to drop her probation violation appeal after the Sheriff has agreed to reduce the amount of time she’ll have to serve to 23 days. The Sheriff has also agreed to put her in a celebrity cell, away from the general population.
Did anyone believe Paris would be successful in appealing her conviction, and punishment?

That’s just ridiculous. It’s a mere slap on the wrist.
23 days is better than nothing and she’ll still be miserable and hopefully clean her act up
