Nicole Richie Delays Her Trail (Again)

Nicole Richie has successfully delayed her day in court once again. The Simple Life star is facing DUI charges from back in December, when she was caught going the wrong direction on a Los Angeles freeway. She ‘fessed up to being on Vicodin and marijuana at the time.

Richie’s trail is set to begin on July 11, and she could face up to a year in jail if the judge isn’t in a good mood. Nicole is pleading not guilty. We can’t wait to hear her explanation for why getting high and driving into oncoming traffic was okay.

There’s plenty of speculation that Richie is getting scared of the prospect of serving actual jail time as she watches her former B.F.F. toil away behind bars. It’s no surprise that Richie hasn’t visited Paris in the slammer, since she might get to spend some quality time there herself in the near future. Stay tuned.
