Nicholas Tse and Cecilia Cheung Separate Over Scandal

Nicholas Tse was photographed on 2-9 by the Hongkong media that he has taken off his wedding ring, which was always on his left hand in 2007, because of the naughty picture scandal involving his wife, Cecilia Cheung and lover at the time Edison Chen.
According to many recent reports, Nicholas had a fierce argument with Cecilia after he returned to home last week from Nanjing, mainland China. It was speculated that he would divorce Cecilia. If so, their little son, Lucas, would be tended by his grandmother Deborah Lee.
As Cecilia Cheung loves husband Nicholas Tse, and toddler son Lucas very much, we are very afraid that she possibly can not endure such a blow, and do something very tragic after she loses two beloved people in her life at the same time.
Jaynestars says Cecilia Cheung was involved in a relationship with Edison Chen for 3 Years before the naughty picture scandal.
Based on the memorabilia appearing in the background of the photos, reporters speculate that Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi, had an affair with Edison Chen when she was in her turbulent stage with Nicholas Tse Ting Fung, circa 2004 to 2005. Cecilia and Edison may have been involved for approximately 3 years.
In past interviews (prior to the release of the naughty photos), Cecilia recounted that she met Edison when she was only 18 years old. The pair filmed a commercial ad together. At the time Edison had not officially entered the entertainment industry yet.
Also at that time, Cecilia insisted she was not dating Edison. She said at the time, "We will continue to be good friends, really good friends going forward. No matter what happens, I will continue to speak out for him." However, given the current naughty photo scandal, Cecilia’s past outburst was a bit ironic.
In February 2004, Cecilia and Nicholas filmed the movie, "The Promise" together and mended their relationship. In March of the same year, the paparazzi photographed the pair together during the filming. However, at the time, Cecilia was also allegedly involved in a relationship with Edison Chen and Jordan Chan Siu Chun.
In 2005, Cecilia dated a Caucasian man. At the same time, there were rumors that she may have gotten back together with Nicholas Tse. In May 2005, Nicholas and Cecilia promoted "The Promise" in Cannes and Director Chen Kaige said the pair had "an intimate relationship."
While promoting "The Promise" in Taiwan the same year, Cecilia did not omit the likelihood of reuniting with Nicholas Tse. However on May 20, 2005, Cecilia returned to Hong Kong and attended Edison Chen’s apparel store’s one year anniversary celebration. Cecilia and Edison appeared to be quite intimate with each other at the event.
Based on these events, reporters speculate that Cecilia was involved with Edison amidst break-ups and reunifications with Nicholas Tse.
On 2-12 Nicolas Tse and Cecilia Cheung reportedly signed a separation agreement. It was said that Nicolas Tse was not angry with the naughty pictures of Cecilia Cheung with Edison Chen, but the fact that Cecilia cheated on him with Edison Chen while she was also dating Nicholas was too much for him to deal with.
The couple married in September 2006, and even though the couple married in the Philippines, the union and any divorce can be dealt with by Hong Kong jurisdiction because at least one of the couple is a Hong Kong citizen. Legal sources say after one year of separation the couple can file for divorce without citing any particular reason. Last year, in an interview with Squat, Nicholas said his marriage to Cecilia was “for life”.

i hope this is just another rumor…nic has every right to be upset but that was her past and they have a kid now. cecelia have not had any negative publicity since their marriage so whatever she had done was in the past. it will be hard for nic to get over this but hopefully in time, the family can survive this unfortunate event.

Nicolas always runs after the rich and popular female stars in HK,he just wanted to take advantage of them and he always hurt them. Bad guy. Cecilia is bad too, seeing several guys at the same time but always cried out her Truly Love to Nicolas. I am bad too, still keep my eyes on them on this scandal even I know they worth nothing.

This event did not destroy a marriage. A woman who was stupid enough to have an affair and have it documented did. Some people here need to get a reality check. If the son has a broken family he has his good old mum to thank for.
If you cant take the heat, walk away. If you arent afraid of the repercussions of cheating or having an affair, go document it and DO not delete it so there is a chance the world may find out. There is really no cure for stupidity

This partucular incident was a positive reflection of how badly behavior among the celebrity themselves, it is a total mess of private life, uncontrol and casual s@x life. A bad lesson to the youngster nowaday. If these people can have a mess out of it, can’t imagine the youngster would exact prototype it. That certainly would create much social problem in the coming days, a day when social worker would throw in the towel after witch hunting by the above event.

This is what we called retribution. Both of them were play boy and girl initially. Now, when they just wanted to have a simple, happy life, their past destroyed it. well. nicholas tse, if you could see this comment, i think you should forgive cecelia. to be honest, i dont really like her since the very first. but since she promised to marry you and had a baby boy with you, i truly believe that she really loves you. no women will sacrifce to give birth to a baby if she doesnt love the family. no one is perfect. so does she. so why cant you forgive her for once since those pics are already the past! it was before the marriage when she was still single. marriage is not for fun. its for life time. or should just think form little lucas? growing up without the love of a mother. no matter what she is still lucas’s mother.

Yes,those pictures are her past, I am sure Nic knew her past before he married her, and he must have also believed that she would never done the same thing again–yes very likely she might not. HOWEVER, this isn’t just about PAST, this is past having been ripped out and exposed to the world. It’s a tragedy that neither Nic nor any man will be able to deal with.

Although I don’t like either of them, I still think Nicolas should think twice before he go for the divorce. Growing up in a broken family is not easy, especially he had been there before. He should put his son in the first place regardless, as a responsible parent. In investment, “past performance doesn’t guaranteed future performance”…same is true, past behavior doesn’t dictate future behavior. Everyone has their past and all they need is just another chance. This one chance may change 3 people’s lives.

we should not encourage Nic to leave his wife, they should calm down to settle themself for the sake of family. We should support them instead of pourling cold water on them.
They should know each other better than we do.

Cecilia had an on and off relationship with nicholas. and never had a big time frame of being single. she was always dating someone, and if that didn’t work out, she will run back to Nicholas. Therefore, Nicholas is ending his marriage because during the picture taking, she had a relationship with nic, but also at the same time is having s@xual affairs with Edison. In my opinion, Nicholas is making the right decision.

I see this is a matter of trust & honesty being broken between them. He must feel betrayed. She should have told him about those pictures before they married. Then he would have been more prepared incase such a thing as this happened.
This way it came as an overwhelming shock to his heart. His family has been devastated.
It would be painful to even look at her the same anymore. Anyone who has been betrayed by their loved one would understand my points.
What’s to say she hasn’t continued cheating behind his back? That may also be a thought going thru his mind now. Alot of people say stay married because you have a baby together. That fact does not matter. They could patch up for a short while & something would trigger more arguments & this unfortunate situation would be brought to the forfront. All couples argue but something like this would put more strain & stress in anyones relationship. Eventually the child in question would feel that there is tention between his parents. That is NO enviroment to raise a child. The child would still be loved by both parents. In that there is no question. This entire situation is very sad for everyone involved.

but i do not think Nicholas is the one who finds this the hardest to deal with, but Cecilia.
at the time when she needs him the most, he leaves her for his pride’s and name’s sake.
this doesn’t seem to proof that he loves her as much as she does to him.

I think they should part. In a relationship if there is a doubt in trust, hanging on just making both party suffer. As for Lucas, yes, it is sad to grow up without a proper family. But for a family being together without the trust isn’t being very healthy either.

well u know,i agree that marriage is a commitment. i understand why nicholas would want to divorce because a marriage is consist of trust, u have to build up ur trust in order for a the other person to marry you. ur righ, the photos are the past, but the thing is she cheated on him. of course think about lucas, but if trust is gone, how can he live with her knoing that she cheated on him and how can he trust her now. i think he deserve someone that he can trust to live with him forever like how he wanted to with cecilia. even if he tries to stay with her for the sake of lucas, is there going to be happiness in being with someone that u cant trust?and u kno the wound would not heal, the scars would remain.

Nicholas should continue to give moral support, emotional support and whatever supports that a husband should provide for his wife. Marriage is team work and Cecilia had forgiven nicholas tse for whatever he had done in the past. The people who exposed these pictures should be sentenced to life-time imprisonment. their greed for money and their selfishness had destroyed the future of these people in the pictures. Cecilia was a naughty sl^t even when she was still studied in Melb, AUS. I knew the story that she had slept around with rich people in Melb and then got promoted straight after she came back to Hong Kong. She cannot even sing but then she got this deal with the recording company which all the people knew she slept with the executive.
She’s seem to enjoy the night with Edison. What a shame girl. This scandal will destroy her carrers and her life.

I thinked it will extremely difficult for a man to swallow such kind of humiliation and especially for a man of his stature. Nicholas will most likely avoid Cecilia at this moment and hopefully as things cool off in time, hope they can get back together. But meantime, it will be impossible for Nicholas to accept any form of apologies from Cecilia. You can hurt a man physically but not his EGO.

Nic, please forgive Celilia. Everyone has a past, plus she really didn’t do anything illegal nor abnormal as an adult (given she was not dating you at the time these pics were taken). The public tends to forget that stars are NORMAL human beings too! They have every right to engage in NORMAL s@xual activities as any of us adults in a relationship. The only party in the wrong here is the person or the persons that released these pics to the public. By doing so, they’ve violated these stars privacy, potentially destroying their careers, even their lives. This is what those people TRULY want. So, please do let them walk away laughing and satisfied by breaking up your beautiful family. Your marriage to celilia is a new page in your lives, it’s a testiment of your love for each other. A lot people are missing two key points. Before you decide to go forgiving a beautiful celebrity for a supposedly unimportant event.
1) This is the only time she’s been CAUGHT. We don’t know if there have been other affairs since.
2) We don’t even know if he’s the father anymore.
BOTH those things have to be addressed (esp. no 2) before he can make the decision to go on with his marriage.
Anyone who is asking him to just “forgive and forget” without caring about the two points above is just letting their need for things to workout blind them to the things that need to be settled first.
Is she a cheater? Is he the father. What you want or don’t want to believe doesn’t matter.
All that matters is what’s true and why.
And truth should be the basis of all lifetime commitments.

For what i remembered when nicholas entered showbiz, i told my mom nicholas is very handsome. he’s still so. as for cecelia, i think she’s very sweet and beautiful. as for what i think now, cecelia has youth and she is very nice. because like what i describe, who doesn’t grow up after setbacks. and what had happened is reality. i believed they are meant for each other. just hope everything fine and that people grow up after their mistakes. i hope cecelia, if u read this, i support u and stay happy. and hope everything changes well after this. as for the rumours, how true is it? i think nothing of it. seize the day. stay strong. i hope they will be together happily ever after.

i don’t think any body has a say in this situation, but from a standard point of view, all these readers are just supporting the marriage due to the fact that they love both actor and actress in this case. but truth is that infertility is a very unforgivable thing. how many of you could forgive a spouse who has cheated on you numerous times? just because the spouse is good looking does not mean they deserve to be forgiven for such a big matter. movie stars are regular everyday people could not handle such a thing as that. i for one could never forgive someone who has publicly been caught cheating during a relationship. you people speak out nonsense when you’ve never actually put yourself in those the place of those involved. if your truly love someone then why would you cheat on then time and again? how many of you could say that someone who has cheated on you numerous times deserves to be forgiven? who’s a real saint out there that could put up with those things?

well what can i say about this whole situation. i agree with everyone that has stated that it is down to those involved as to how the situation is delt with. i have always felt that if a person is no longer intersted in a relationship then they should end it before they pick up with someone else.
be it a man or a woman that has commited the act of infidelity is not the point the point is how can you claim to love someone and then cause them such hurt.
the act is even more hurtful after marriage as you have stood up in front of friends and family and commited bound yourself to some for the rest of your life.
the person i feel sorry for the most in this is little lucas as he is the one that is going to be traumatized the most. and the fact that his parents are celebrities makes matter even worse since all of their exploits are on record for him to view when he is older.
i pray that the paternity test proves without a shadow of a doubt that nicholas is lucas father.
i wish people would consider the consequences of their actions before they take them as they would save themselves and the people they claim to love a lot of heartache and pain.
