Free speech champion Miss California Carrie Prejean did an interview on The Billy Bush Show giving us more detail in her response to the Miss USA controversy. Access Hollywood reports:

Her opinions on same-sex marriage may have cost Miss California the Miss USA crown on Sunday night – but in an interview with Billy Bush for “The Billy Bush Show” and Access Hollywood on Monday morning, Carrie Prejean revealed that her sister is a gay rights activist.

“My sister is a second lieutenant in the Air Force and she is a gay rights activist,” Carrie told Billy.

Her sister, she added, is not gay.

“No. She supports gay people, she supports gay marriage. My beliefs have nothing to do with my sister or my mom, or whatever.”

Nor was her sister offended by her comments on Sunday night.

“She was just in my hotel room and she said, ‘Sis, I’m not offended by anything that you said. We have two different opinions and I love you because of it. I love you because you stood up for what was right, and it’s not a matter of being gay or not gay, it’s a matter of you competing for Miss USA and getting a question and answering it to the best of your ability.”

At the Las Vegas pageant, Carrie took a question on same-sex marriage from judge (and gay fascist) Perez Hilton, who asked her how she felt on the subject.

“In my country, and in my family, I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman,” she said on Sunday night. She went on to come in second to Miss North Carolina.

“It did cost me my crown,” Carrie told Billy, who co-hosted the ceremony, on Monday. “I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I said what I feel. I stated an opinion that was true to myself and that’s all I can do.”

“It is a very touchy subject and he is a homosexual and I see where he was coming from and I see the audience would’ve wanted me to be more politically correct,” she added. “But I was raised in a way that you can never compromise your beliefs and your opinions for anything.”

But her sister has different beliefs.

“She has her own views,” Carrie said. “She’s a 22-year-old woman who’s in the Air Force who’s extremely educated. She debates with my dad all the time about it. That’s what’s so great about being an American – we’re able to have our own opinions.”

And Carrie said she’s had plenty of support for her performance since the pageant.

“I feel like I won. I feel like I’m the winner. I really do, Billy,” noting that on Monday, she had 1,000 messages on Facebook and 2,000 friend requests.

As for Carrie’s own love life, she wants to keep it private.

“He is a great man,” she said on rumors of dating Michael Phelps, laughing in response to Billy’s questions. “Wouldn’t you like to know, Billy Bush? We can talk about that a different day.”

We totally agree with Carrie Prejean. Civil debate, free speech, and respecting other’s opinions, is what makes America great.

At least she spoke with politeness and didn´t spit vile filth, like both sides usually do. “Liberal atheists beep beep!” “Support gay marriage you beep or …!” She just told her opinion. Storm in the water-glass.

This country is drifting so from its founding. When James Madison first wordsmithed the 1st Amendment, it said “The civil rights of none shall be abridged on account of religious belief or worship, nor shall any national religion be established, nor shall the full and equal rights of conscience be in any manner, or on any pretext, infringed.” In an effort to make the Constitution a “living a breathing document” the US Supreme Court is transforming it from the beautiful Lady Liberty into the putrid Frankenstein monster.

I thank God that Carrie Prejean stood up for timeless truths of God and not Sodom and Gomorrah political correctness.

  3. I had the honor of spending most of yesterday with Carrie at Rock Church She is what Americans were ment to be and should be. This country was founded on Cristian values and will only survive if we hold true to those values.Political Correctness and liberal extremest are destroying our country.

It is so refreshing to see someone stand up for what they believe, despite the results. I think the question was out of line in the first place. Perez asked the question knowing it would spark some debate. Just deal with the answer and move on!

We don’t always have to agree, but we can all agree to get a long.

Go Carrie – you are an inspiration to all of us Christians! God Bless!

  5. Jerry says:

God instituted marriage, not man. And this marriage existed between one man and one woman. Anything else is not a marriage.

  6. Rose says:

Carrie Prejean is a very bold and clear-headed young lady. She answered a very loaded question with dignity, courtesy and articulation.

As for “Cody”, the Bible says in Psalms 14:1, “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’”. Did you know that there will be a day of accountability (i.e. Judgement Day) for each person after he/she dies? The wise person fears God and realizes receiving Jesus Christ as his/her Savior was the best thing God did for mankind because God loves him/her (YOU). In the end, we will see who was stupid and who wasn’t. Let’s hope you wise up.

For 6,000 years of human history, marriage has always been between a man and a woman. That is also the preferred method of procreation. Carrie Prejean is still being slandered for stating her belief in that. This “new age” thinking is not going to change marriage from its traditional family values.

Also, belief in God does not make one stupid. 90% of the world’s population believes in a supreme being in one form or another. So clearly, the world isn’t buying the evolution myth that’s being spewed out by the “educated” 10% part of the world.

  8. Tyra says:

I’m so happy that my children got to see someone stand up and stand firm for what they believe in. It’s inspiring to people. People like Perez view her as a threat, only this time, it back fired.

I vow never to watch the Miss USA again. That’s how disgusted I am to see that such trashy, political questions were allowed to be asked. Than when she gave an honest answer, she was ridiculed. Insanity at its worse!!!!

God Bless Carrie, she’s the REAL WINNER.

  9. shay says:

for real. they have a lot of scholarships and a year-stay in a new york-condo, not the presidency of the united states. people like perez hilton, and little cody up there, are ignorant fools who claim they believe in diversity, yet they slander and insult anyone with a different opinion than them, so why does it make it wrong for me to call you a retard, cody? because you are. i believe in god, so i must be an idiot, right? cody grow some balls and read news other than online gossip columns and mtv. as for perez, the only reson that fat boy is famous in the first place is because he slams half-drunk celebrities and parades around on his blog talking about his sexual fantasies. he has absolutely no high-level education that worth a flip, nothing to give to society, he’s simply an up for the ratings. sad.

  10. Melissa says:

this is a beauty pageant not a smart pageant why do they need to know current events anyways it’s not like they’re going to be any more than a pretty face to the world wearing their pretty little crown and taking pictures. so gay people need to stop being so emotional.. not everyone will approve of them its about time they get over it..

  11. Al Cartiglia says:

Praise the Lord for pepole like Carrie. And for you Perez God will be your Judge on Judgement Day.

  12. Cindy says:

    Dear Cody:
Ah, yes. I remember the days of my own atheistic youth, reveling in the belief that I knew more than everyone else in the universe.

So, what did God do that has made you so mad at Him?

Read the book “More Than A Carpenter” by Josh McDowell. I’m now a Christian. I may not have all the answers, but I know I can trust a God Who died on the cross for me (and rose again.)

When you do that for me, maybe I’ll trust in you.
    Happy Trails to you!

Oh. Just to let you know, all the challenges to Christ’s resurrection have been successfully answered decades before you were born. It really bummed me out when I discovered that…But now I have His presence in my life and that’s made all the difference.

  13. f*cody says:

Hey Cody, Einstein believes in god, does that make him an idiot you stupid imbecile ?

  14. Cody says:

Well she is clearly stupid. You have to be to believe in God…

So it is probably well that she didn’t win.

  15. I absolutely agree that one of the great things about the USA is that everybody can have their own opinion, but there is a difference between sharing or having a difference of opinion and forcing people to live their life based on YOUR opinion.

  16. will says:

Good for her to stick to her guns. This Hilton guy is a low-life scumbag – the only reason he was on the pageant is because the ratings have been sliding—Trump loves his drama–Rosie, Perez Hilton—they all could just quietly go away and the World would be a better place.
