At first I thought that Carrie Prejean was not an activist person who got sandbagged with a question about her personal beliefs on an explosive topic – so I thought she was being treated unfairly.

Now that she is out there compaigning – well she has joined the fight, so she might come out bloodied in the end.

You’re right, she does have the right to free speech. Others have the right to free speech, too, but they don’t have the right to threaten Ms. Prejean. What they do have is the right to disagree with her, and many of us do.
Should Ms. Prejean’s crown be taken away, it will not be for her answer regarding her opinion on ending marriage segregation. It will be because she had taken semi-nude pictures in the past and had them distributed, something which is clearly stated in her contract to be a disqualifier.

Since when did expressing your opinion become a crime? I am happy that Carrie has the courage to stand up for her beliefs.
