Meryl Streep and Sandra Bullock kiss

Meryl Streep (60) and Sandra Bullock (45) pretended to have a bit of a rivalry before they then kissed and made up.
Both actresses were named Best Actress at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, Streep for her role as Julia Child in Julie and Julia, and Bullock for The Blind Side, and each were given a chance to make their acceptance speech. In Bullock’s speech she said:
"Meryl’s a great kisser."
Bullock’s latest film The Blind Side has become the first film release in history to make more than $200 million with only one female A-list star to support it. With Streep and Bullock’s success they are proving there is a market for older actresses, contrary to what Demi Moore has said on the topic. In fact, Kathryn Bigelow became the first woman to take home the Best Director award at 58 years-old for The Hurt Locker, which beat Avatar, Inglourious Basterds, and Precious.
Congratulations to all the ladies!

Streep was an interesting and genuine artist
—once upon a time.
These days she seems content to make her money
as the conventional PC enabler for a culture in
pathological denial of, among other things, its
45 millin exterminations of the unborn —very largely in the name of ‘lifestyle and convenience’.
