mary ann Mary Ann Busted for Pot

Dawn Wells, the actress that played Mary Ann on Gilligan’s Island, was busted with marijuana in her car after driving home from her birthday party. Wells is 69 years-old.

Wells was pulled over on October 18 after a Teton County sheriff noticed her swerve across the center lines of State Highway 33 and repeatedly speeding up and slowing down. A search produced four half-smoked joints and two small cases to store marijuana, which she blamed on hitchhikers. Uh huh.

Wells is now serving a six months of unsupervised probation for the crime. She pleaded guilty to one count of reckless driving and was sentenced last month to five days in jail, fined $410.50 and placed on probation.

    6 months of unsupervised probation? That’s kinda like it never happening—-
    Even MaryAnn is a pothead. I feel so bad, I think I’ll get drunk tonight.

    First they let Madonna in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (of course she’s never gotten high) and now they bust Maryanne. This world is gettin’ crazier by the day!!

    The criminalization of marijuana in this countrty is the most lopsided, inconsistent and worthless excersise of legal authority in this country today. What a waste of our law enforcement resources to bust this grandmother. But I guess the state will take her money and be happy that justice was truly served…BS
