Um, hello, HE GOT CAUGHT. That's the ONLY reason he admitted it. If no one had been suspicious, and had that reporter never got the tip he was in Argentina he NEVER would have said anything. You can even tell by his response at the airport this morning (I went to Argentina for something exotic) that he was waiting to get back to Colombia to assess the damage before admitting to anything.
