Despite wearing very little clothing most of the time, the heat wave still got to Lindsay Lohan. Hollywood Grind has learned that Lindsay Lohan (20) was rushed by private car to a Los Angeles area hospital emergency room from the set of her new movie ’Georgia Rule.’
“She was overheated and dehydrated,” Lohan’s rep, Leslie Sloane-Zelnick, and Marc Malkin said. Sloane-Zelnick says the starlet spent a couple of hours in the hospital after being given a Vitamin B shot. “She was filming in 105-degree weather for 12 hours,” she said.
Lohan is expected to return to the set tomorrow. ’Georgia Rule’ is a drama directed by Garry Marshall, and co-stars are Jane Fonda, and Felicity Huffman.
Overheating is usually caused by the body’s inability to cool itself due to dehydration, and the medical treatment for dehydration is fluids given by mouth, or IV (intravenous) in what is called a fluid bolus. A vitamin B shot is typically given to drunks that come into the emergency room exhausted. Alcohol depletes the B vitamins in the body. B Vitamins give a person more energy, which is why they are added to energy drinks. |
