Lindsay Lohan is the DUI Poster Child

USA Today ran an ad which was paid for by the liquor industry, and used Lindsay Lohan’s mug shot. The ad was against using "ignition interlocks," which is an ignition Breathalyzer. Lindsay’s attorney Blair Berk issued this statement:
"USA TODAY is idiotic for running such an irresponsible advertisement, suggesting that drinking and driving is some kind of American ’tradition’ we should protect. Not identifying that this ad was paid for by the liquor industry is profoundly reckless."
"Drunk, old, white businessmen, drunk cougars out for girls night out, and drunk wedding parties should be kept off the roads of America. Lindsay Lohan fully endorses ignition interlock devices that have been well-proven to save lives."
What does Berk have against "drunk, old, white businessmen?"
Lindsay has her lawyers seeing if the ad uses her picture for commercial gain, in violation of trademark laws. It seems though, that a mug shot may not fit into that category, but it should. Even more insulting, the full page ad spelled Lindsay’s name as "Lindsey." No one said alcohol improved a person’s ability to spell.
