Lily Allen Arrested for Assault

Back in May we reported that Lily Allen might be arrested for assault, and guess what…

Lily Allen has been charged and released on bail over an alleged assault on a photographer outside a London club.

The 21-year-old singer, who rose to fame on the back of her MySpace page, presented herself to police yesterday.

A Scotland Yard spokesperson told media: "At 9.30am yesterday, a 21-year-old woman attended a central London police station by appointment.

"She was arrested in connection with an allegation of assault. She has been bailed to return on a date in late July.’’

The alleged incident took place outside London’s Wardour Club in Soho on March 13.

Allen, who earlier this year canceled a number of US tour dates citing tiredness, is due to tour Australia in August. (source)
