It’s fake and it’s not fake. Yeah, that’s LC’s real life, but I think many of the scenes are set up, meetings are arranged, Spencer’s facial hair disappears and reappears on the same show, timelines are played around with, but that IS Lauren’s life, and the situations she’s dealing with.
Whether or not it’s fake is not the point. A lot of people like it, that’s the point. I kinda like it, and I’ve stopped looking for the obvious set-up meetings etc. and just suspending belief and enjoying it.

If it weren’t for Heidi and Spencer, it would be a pretty good show. They’re superfluous, they don’t have any interaction with LC, that’s all Stephanie. If they dropped them entirely, I’d be happy.

If the Hills is real then they seriously have a problem. No one really goes out to a club every night. She is drinking alcohol in every episode. She is not a good role model. She has been handed everything she ever wanted. SPOILED! laguna beach made her famous. She makes mega $$$$ from MTV and the show. This is not a realistic life. I watch it for humor.
I beleieve what she is trying to say that the show is about her. but it’s edited for tv. they have reshots. to make it better. But the stories are true. Shrugs. I like the show

Like her or not= there is plenty of evidence, even cast members themselves admitting they are given lines and prompted to do things. How does she explain the staged scene there is photographic evidence of heidi and spencer being filmed in an airport arriving, then leaving after changing clothes and filming the rest of it? They ADMIT that this happens to make the story flow. If these are there real lives, i feel even worse for them! DULL!
