Lady Gaga Paid former Boyfriend Rob Fusari

Rob Fusari filed a $30 million lawsuit against Lady Gaga, aka Stefani Germanotta, claiming he did not receive compensation for songs he co-wrote, and for the name Lady Gaga which he thought of. Fusari asked for 20 percent of song royalties, and 15 percent of merchandising revenue, but was denied his share after his personal and business relationship with Gaga soured.

According to the lawsuit, Lady Gaga and Fusari’s relationship turned romantic and then became a business partnership in May 2006, when they created a joint venture called Team Love Child, LLC to promote her career. Fusari’s share was 20 percent.

Despite Gaga denying she owed Fusari anything, she settled the lawsuit today. Although the terms of the agreement were not mentioned, Fusari acknowledged receiving a check for $611,000, which he says is not his full share, and only amounts to about 2 percent of the $30 million he asked for.

Fusari has written and produced song hits for Destiny’s Child, Will Smith, Britney Spears, and many more.

Gaga has tried as hard as possible to make people think everything she does is original, but as I keep pointing out, Gaga’s success has come from mostly copying, and using other people, to create her fashion look and to create her music, with her just playing and performing. Before Fusari came along no one had heard of Lady Gaga. He probably deserves much more than 20 percent. By denying Fusari his share of the agreed profits, Gaga has proven herself a liar and a cheat, as well as a copycat.
