Kanye West defended Chris Brown on February 13 when he taped his portion of the VH1 show Storytellers. Unfortunately, VH1 edited out West’s comments so you can only read them here. West told the crowd:

"Can’t we give Chris a break? … I know I make mistakes in life." He was referring to R&B singer Chris Brown, who was arrested on the night of the Grammys on suspicion of assaulting Rihanna.

"Michael Jackson, amazing. Michael Phelps, amazing … He’s a real f—in’ person; he makes mistakes." He was referring to the Phelp’s recent bong scandal.

Then Kanye followed up with his defense of O.J.:

"O.J. Simpson, amazing. Is he not? What he did, when he did, what he did. Was he not amazing though?"

Usually alleged girlfriend beaters, child molesters, pot smokers, and killers, are described as criminals, however, if they aren’t convicted in a court of law, then they are all described as "amazing" by people like Kanye West.

sure its their life, and her decision to risk being duped by a boy who prob apologise to save his own hide and career. And its also people like you out there who doesnt care less, makes allowances for agressors or thinks we are creating a din — that allows such “gaps” in this society for mistakes like this being repeated over and over.

“Emotional” as you deem it, is the voice of our female ancestors that allows woman in current days to enjoy more respect and a higer status in those soceity. By keeping quiet, turnin a blind eye and allowing men to “strike” what they wish, is not only a step backward, but also an insult to all those before that had strive against all odds to create a more levelled position for women in this world today. But of course, woman who repeatedly allow themselves to be abused doesnt warrant much sympathy. Time will tell if Rihanna is smart enough.

Afterall they are celebrities, their world of logic doesnt often coincide with the mainstream society.

i think people are begining to blure the line between acceptable mistakes and things one should never do in the first place. No one should resort to physical violence regardless if its male or female. Agressor behaviour should never be condone in any civilised society. To Chris’s defenders, It wasnt a shove, it was a slap across the face. It was VIOLENT BASHING of another human beng. How can anyone say that is a mistake? Physical violence is a RAPE of the other person’s dignity. and SOME STUFF should NEVER HAPPEN in the first place. if Chris wasnt happy, then walk away, break off, yell at her, whatever. Just dont lay his hands on her.

Geez, How can you say he’s right..
Its true that everyone makes mistakes, but these are not mistakes. They choose to do horrible things. everone knows O.J is a killer.. ‘amazing’ isnt it? what a loser.. and have you seen Rihanna’s face after Chris beated her up, I don’t understand why peoploe keep defending him. Well if Kanye thinks this is so amazing, why don’t do him a favor and beat the sh!t out of him.

  5. ..... says:

its true what kanye is saying thou
everyone makes mistakes if u cant realise that then you are the A$$.
Stuff happens n it will get dealt with so kanye is right

  6. Candy says:

Everytime Kanye West opens his mouth he just proves once again that he is an a$$.

yeah, these losers will say such things to defend these offenders because they know one day they will mess it up equally bad themselves and at that time, they will need someone else to help defend them in return… this is their so call misplaced “brotherhood” with an (false) bravo attitude.
