Kanye West Late for Show Angers Crowd

Kanye West Late didn’t appear on stage at Tennessee’s Bonnaroo until 4.25 a.m. Sunday morning, about two hours behind schedule. Before Kanye took the stage, Pearl Jam ran over by an hour, festival organizers said, and then there were long delays setting up West’s elaborately futuristic stage set.

Some fans got upset and started chanting "Kanye sucks," and threw glow sticks on the stage.

It wasn’t Kanye’s fault. After the show the fans probably didn’t think he sucked anymore. He puts on a good show.

I waited for that 4:25 am show of Kanye’s and let me tell you, it was NOTHING TO WRITE HOME ABOUT!!!!! In fact, I’ve never been so angry in my life. I am angry at myself for staying up so late just to watch a few songs and then proceed to go to bed so early that I only slept for 3 hours. Kanye is no Pearl Jam, that’s for sure. Pearl Jam has respect for their fans and they put on a great show. Kanye needs to pull the “im better than everybody” stick out of his a$$, or he is going to lose a good chunk of fans.

KANYE WEST SHOW WAS HORRIBLE. IT WOULDN’T HAVE MATTERED WHAT TIME HE WENT ON. THE WHOLE SHOW WAS BAD. HE SOUNDED HORRIBLE AND THE BAD THEATRICS MADE IT WORSE. HIS STAGE SET-UP WAS COOL BUT THATS IT. HE SUCKS

I was mad I even wasted 20 minutes of my time to walk away from Phil Lesh’s concert to watch a little of Kanye and he was already 45 min late. By the time he came on I opted to go to bed rather than watch his show. The people I talked to the next day that actually watched his show were not impressed! Honestly I don’t think Bonnaroo is for someone like Kanye. He just proved the doubts most of the people there had about him.

Kanye’s performance and behavior at Bonnaroo were unacceptable. His demands to have all other artists end their sets early as to not deter “fans” from seeing his show was outright egotistical and diva-ish. The people that WERE there to see him and the people that were forced to see him b/c all the other music had been shut down, per his request are overdue for an apology for his lame show and for his lack of respect for the fans and for his colleagues in the music industry. He never once addressed the crowd regarding his tardiness nor did he show appreciation for the people who waited long into the morning to see his show.

I waited till 4 am, I gave up on him. I am really upset about the fact that I sat around and waited for dumb Kanye for two hours- when I could have listened to other acts that were there. I missed Talib, DJ Logic, And Jurassic Five, Lupe Fiasco. And that is only the hip hop shows that I could have seen instead of waiting on Kanye’s Lame A$$. I am so tired of his bs. He always has something to complain about. A real artist wouldn’t care about the lights, the set, they would perform regardless… Will someone knock this guy off his pedestal please.
