Junior Seau is Dead
Junior Seau (43) was found dead today about 10 am at his San Diego home by his current girlfriend Megan Noderer (the redhead pictured above and below), who phoned 911. Police say they found the gun near Junior, and described it as a suicide. Junior had been shot fatally in the chest. Police did a gun powder residue test on the girlfriend’s hands to be sure it wasn’t her that shot Junior, before coming to the conclusion that it was a suicide, although it would be a good idea to wait for the autopsy results. Junior’s girlfriend is pictured above. The blonde girl in the photos below is his ex-wife Gina DeBoer Seau, not his current girlfriend. Below there are also photos of Gina with their children.
In 2010 Junior drove his SUV off a cliff in Carlsbad, California. It was widely reported that accident was a suicide attempt since it happened right after he was released from jail after his ex-girlfriend Mary Nolan (the brunette pictured below) accused him of domestic violence. Junior said at the time it was not a suicide attempt, and added he would never kill himself.
Junior is survived by his ex-wife Gina DeBoer Seau, daughter Sydney Beau and sons Jake Ryan and Hunter Tiaina. Although he had not seen his children for about three weeks, he sent text messages to his children, and ex-wife, telling him all “Love you.”
His mother spoke today at a press conference, and could not contain her intense grief, saying she wished God had taken her instead of her son. The video of Mom below is absolutely heart breaking.
The family, and friends, say they had no idea Junior was depressed or suicidal. There have been many similar suicides by other former NFL players, all killing themselves in a similar way.
Everyone who has spoken about Junior have all said what a very good person he was, so this makes his death a huge tragedy, and is the reason there has been national media coverage.
