Jon and Kate Gosselin Getting Divorced
We’ve seen the pictures that show both Jon Gosselin and Kate Gosselin engaging in what appears to be cheating, although we wanted to believe they just had an open marriage. The evidence that the Gosselin marriage is over, and headed for divorce is everywhere. The couple with 8 children are on all the gossip covers, and they are confirming they are having problems, as are their family and friends.
Kate’s brother Kevin Kreider, and his wife Jodi, gave RadarOnline and interview in which Kevin says:
"Six months ago Kate came to Jon and said, ’Hey, it’s over.’"
"Their family is in shambles."
"Kate wants to be a talk show host, and she really is starting to believe her own press."
Kevin and Jodi gave an interview to Star magazine that reveals even more, mostly about greedy Kate. Star reports:
Despite earning upwards of $75,000 per episode for their reality series Jon & Kate Plus 8, Jon Gosselin has had to empty his 401k because his wife, Kate, has been keeping the money for herself!
That is just one of the many blockbusting details that Kate ’ s brother and sister-in-law Kevin and "Aunt " Jodi Kreider reveal in their world exclusive interview with Star.
In the May 25 issue, on sale now, Kevin and Jodi reveal how the TV mom of twins and sextuplets spends months away from home promoting her two books (one more, a cookbook, is due in October) and loading up on speaking engagements, for which she commands $3,000 an hour. She also charges fans $150 per person for special meet-and-greet tea parties and even makes fans pay $20 for autographs!
Note to Kate: The biggest stars in the world – including Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie – don’t charge for autographs.
It’s Kate’s lust for the big bucks that led to Kevin and fan favorite Jodi’s sudden disappearance from the series after season three, they say. When Kate found out that TLC had offered Jodi and Kevin compensation for their appearances on the show, she freaked out and said no one else should be paid for appearing on the show but them, her brother tells Star
"Her reasoning for pushing me and Jodi away was because the more people you split it up between, the less there is!" Adds Jodi, "It has turned into a huge moneymaking machine…and the money has become priority No. 1 with Kate."
So much so, says Kevin, that she has an iron grip on the family finances – with precious little trickling down to Jon.
"He told me he had to empty his 401K to survive!"
There’s nothing wrong with earning money for the family, but isn’t Jon able to access any of the money? Why would he have to empty his 401K to survive?

And Kevin and Jodi reveal why they are no longer on the hit show. Kate freaked out when TLC suggested they be paid for their time. "No one else is getting paid but us!" Kate screamed at her brother. "We’re done!’
Kevin has a simple message for her family members. "Kate and Jon, I urge you to focus on what’s most important, and stop trading your marriage and family for fame and fortune!"
Us Weekly reports that Kate might be having an affair with her bodyguard, Steve Neild. A family source said:
"Jon threatened to hire a private investigator."
An employee at a recent promotional appearance for their TLC reality show said:
The married Neild, who once worked for Bill Clinton, and is often photographed not wearing his wedding band, were "very physical, often touching each other."
Is Kate really so important that she needs a bodyguard? She must have a huge ego!
A neighbor says Jon sleeps in an apartment above the garage in the Gosselins’ new $1.1 million home. A family source says:
"Jon says it’s over. Kate doesn’t want to work on it, he doesn’t want to work on it."
The family source is most likely Kate’s brother.
We’ll see if all this drama is just to bring more attention to the show, or if Jon and Kate will be getting a real divorce. With 8 kids, a divorce would be horrible.
Kate even told People magazine she is struggling with her marriage:
"I don’t know that we’re in the same place anymore, that we want the same thing," she says quietly. "I’ve been struggling with the question of ’Who is this person?’ for a while. I remember where I was the first time I heard her name. It’s one of those things where you can try to make it go away, but there’s blaring, red flashing lights."
The name to which Kate refers belongs to 23-year-old Deanna Hummel, whose brother later claimed she’d been having a months-long affair with Jon.
For Kate, who has referred to her husband as "my balance, my strength and my stability," to now consider a future apart has been heartbreaking but not impossible. "You can’t imagine yourself in a certain position when all this first happens, but you can do it over some months," she says.
"It’s a lot like when I was first pregnant with the babies, and it was pure shock and denial. But over time I imagined six cribs in my house, and six car seats. When your mind is ready to go there, you can accept any number of scenarios."
Kate does have hope, however, that her marriage can be saved. "I will never give up hope that every member of our family can be absolutely happy again," she says.
So Star says Kate agreed to let Jon have a girlfriend on the side, and Us Weekly says Jon is concerned that Kate is cheating with the bodyguard, then Kate tells people she and Jon are having problems but she will never give up hope of a happy relationship, even though she has become mentally prepared to raise the kids without Jon. It sounds like Kate planned this from the start. First get the show and the books bringing income in, make herself a celebrity, cut Jon off in the bedroom then tell him it’s okay to find a girlfriend, start sleeping with the bodyguard to make Jon go crazy mad, and finally file for divorce when Jon looks like a cheating dog, and keep all the money. Pure evil.

I dont like Kate. She is an evil little doosh and she is just acting like the inoocent sweetheart who has been cheated on, but she is rich, a celeb, she loves it and wants attention. Just try not to give it to her people

I agree with the posters who have said that Kevin and his wife are hypocrites. They are just being greedy.
I happen to adore Kate and think Jon should get a job (LOL about a 401K of Jon’s – he would have had to had a job for a period of time!) and support his family of 8 children instead of sleeping around. How pathetic!
I am skeptical about Jodi and Kevin’s tell all. I think it is sour grapes. Not that Kate did not do all they say, but suddenly they don’t like it and decide to tell it to tabloids who pay for such interviews. IS there a difference? Getting money for exploiting the kids or talking about the parents and kids as they are being exploited and receiving money for that info. However, I think it is time for CPS to step in and take them away from all of the family who is using the children to live high on the hog” for their mere existence. What will they think when they begin to watch these shows in rerun and over and over they relive their sad little lives. I am afraid for them.

I completely agree with prev poster. Kevin and Jodi are hypocrites. Things were great when they were on the show but now that they aren’t they don’t agree with it. If they were so concerned about their nieces and nephews well being then why continue to air their families dirty laundry in public? When these children grow up and see how they are getting paid to talk badly about their parents how will that make them feel? They should deal with their feelings with Jon and Kate not the entire world. Jodi certainly didn’t mind going on those trips or looking like the perfect housewife on air. Family should support each other especially when they are going through hard time. They should not tear each other down, even for money. Jodi and Kevin just want a piece of the pie… if you ask me they are the ones exploiting those children. SHAME ON THEM!!!!
Kevin and Jodi are HYPOCRITES. They are getting PAID to speak to the tabloids and various other media outlets, as well as trying to sell their side of the story for $30,000. Yep, $30,000… They are willing to sell out their own family and exploit the situation for cash. They couldn’t care less about the Gosselin children. And apparently, they didn’t mind the show when THEY were on it. Back then, they never mentioned “exploitation”. Funny how they’ve changed their minds so quickly now that they’re no longer on the show. It’s all a money scam and hopefully people can see through their act. They should be ashamed of themselves.
I knew Kate was up to something. If the viewers paid special attention to how the last season she could not have hugged the arm of the interview chair any closer and her looks changed. She lost weight and was tanning. She just looked different and that hair style of hers, looks like a wannabe style. She also rolled her eyes more at Jon. Sounds like a person that was cheating to me. Now that she has all the money, has she thought about paying the folks back what was given to them when the sextuplets were born.
Jon if you see this get the hell out while you can. If all this is true then you need to get half of all the money that was made for the shows and whatever else. I would get half, take custody of the kids and get child support. I’ve seen from all the episodes where she would slap you and how she’d talk to you. Thats not right. Dont fall for any tricks, like her contract for you to have a girlfriend on the side…what about her contract? Shes trying to find ways to make you look bad and TRYING to keep her image squeeky clean, but dont worry the truth always comes out. And in certain situations i would say married couples should work out their differences but in this case with all the alleigations and if they are true, I’d say leave her in the dust cause you dont wanna end up like someone I know who was married for 34 yrs and the wife up filed for divorce and took everything, he’seft with nothing(job, money, transportation, home, just the clothes on his back). Dont let her win! Fight for whats yours, your name, image, and your kids.

Good luck Jon, you are the lucky one, you have all these tapes from your shows that clearly show you were abused. She is one nasty person that only cares about herself and not the kids. Not hard to figure out she may loose the kids and he may get them and the house. He has a VG chance where she will end up paying the support.
All of this hype is setting up the next season. First: There will be a lot of tears, regrets, pity, pity, pity. This will take about 3 mths.
Second: Tenetive overtures of reconciliation, smiles, tounches, grandure Honeymoon in Paris.Another 3 months gone.
Third: Family comes first with all of the in-laws,and ex-laws coming by one each week until all are bosom buddies again. 3-6 months go by.
Fourth: We may get to see the kids by this episode, but WAIT! the season is over!
Fifth: Stay tuned for the next season! If they played their cards right there WILL be a next one and this one will be when we hear from the kids about how they feel about everything that happened.
Kate should be careful what she wishes for. If there is a divorce, she’ll have no control over the money anymore, or the kids. Jon will get his share of the money, and I suspect custody of the kids as well. Where’s the tell-all book Jon? The anti-Kate crowd is waiting patiently. That’s one book with the Gosselin name on it I’d purchase in a heartbeat. The stories he has to tell would destroy Kate and this ‘fake’ image she’s hiding behind once and for all.

This story is insightful. I believe Steve and Jodi have little to gain by sharing the truth about Jon and Kate + 8. We were wondering what happened to them and other friends. Hopefully the lives of the Gosselin children will not be destroyed because of their parents’ greed.
