John Murtha Calls Voters in Pennsylvania Racists
On October 15 and 20, 2008, Democrat John Murtha said of the voters in Pennsylvania:
"There is no question that Western Pennsylvania is a racist area, and when I say racist I mean older people are hesitant. They are slow in seeing change, real change."
When asked to explain his comments, Murtha reiterated he meant that people in Pennsylvania have a problem voting for someone because he’s black, and years ago Pennsylvania was redneck, particularly older people of Pennsylvania.
Redneck is a term that actually means farmer. A farmer gets his neck and arms after working long days in the sun with a shirt on.
Did you know that farmers, who make up 3% of the population grow food for 97% of the American population?
If Murtha is calling farmers racist that’s bad. If Murtha meant the slang redneck, meaning dumb hick, and he’s saying people in Pennsylvania are dumb hick racists, then I’d have to say he’s ready for retirement, because grandpa is out of touch, and out to lunch. On the other hand, if the people of Pennsylvania are really as dumb as Murtha says they are, then that would explain how he remained in Congress for the past 18 years.
If you’re voting for a democrat, Murtha is the kind of person you’re voting for.
