Jessica Simpson Gets $3 Million to be Proactiv

Jessica Simpson will be getting $3 Million to represent Proactiv for another year. Page Six reports:

Jessica Simpson can forget her singing career if she wants – she’s making a killing off Proactiv. The buxom blonde just renewed her deal with the face-wash company and has made new infomercials that will air close to Christmas. “She did re-sign for another year. She has a great relationship with them,” said her business manager, David Levin. Simpson was rumored to have gotten a hefty $3 million paycheck for the new ads.

If you were one of those people in high school who was referred to as pizza face, or zit face, and you resented those people who had perfectly clear skin, then you will hate the fact that one of them (Jessica) is getting paid to pretend Proactiv cured her pizza face. It’s probably a good product, but Jessica is hardly the right person to represent someone who had her face cleared by it. It’s just not believable. Jenny Craig has Kirstie Alley as their spokesperson, and they documented her rocky road from getting cut out of her house and hauled to Jenny Craig with a crane, to being just a few inches too fat to fit into the side door of her van. Would you believe Jenny Craig works if they used the Victoria Secret Angels as their spokespeople? I wouldn’t, but I’d Tivo the commercials.
