Hollywood is Burning
A building that was home to a nightclub, a tattoo parlor, a beauty supply company and a vacant shoe store, errupted into flames that shot 40 feet high on Wednesday at the corner of Hollywood and Vine. The building was close to Capital Records, and the Pantages Theater. The building was so engulfed in flames firefighters had to let it burn, and prevented adjacent structures from catching fire. The building was a "complete loss."
The fire started before 6 am, and is now 99 percent contained.
Arson investigators are on the scene.
Hollywood and Vine is one of the oldest and most famous intersections, in one of the most famous neighborhoods, in the world.
