Hit and run caught on tape in Hartford Connecticut

  Share

Hartford Connecticut police ask anyone with information regarding this incident and/or the identity of the suspects to please contact Crime Scene Division (CSD) Detective Michael Chauvin at 860-757-4229 or CSD Commander Sergeant Jason Thody at 860-757-4225.

The most shocking part of this hit-and-run video is how people who saw the accident, and other people who see the man, Angel Torres, laying the street, never bothered to stop and help him, or call 911. The man lived, and is now paralyzed for life. This video doesn’t reflect well on the people who live in Hartford, Connecticut.

There’s a few people that can be seen going on their cell phones after the hit. I say look for three teens. Teens usually follow each other that close in a car. They have follow the leader mentality where the car following just looks at the car infront, does what it does. Driver of the second car didn’t even apply the brakes. Teen’s only worry is loosing site of their friends when they’re following. Most of my teen friends don’t even notice hitting a dog or bird when they drive and they don’t care. Looks like typical teen driving to me so look for three teenagers! two in the first car and one driver for the one that hit that guy. Oh, and see what you get for jay walking???? I’m gonna hit you!!! LOL

First off… was it YANKS that were raping and murdering so many in the dome during hurrican Katrina? I don’t think so…………….. You’re an ignorant southerner who STILL lives in the past…. get over the civil war.

Jaywalking? Are you kidding me you moron? The car that hit him was chasing the car ahead of him and was passing illegally. Notice the double yellow lines in the video…. that means NO PASSING!!! That car would have hit him in a crosswalk too.

Four people called 911 within minutes. This story is completely base. It doesn’t say anything about the people of Hartford because not everyone in the whole city was there. Also they don’t know if he’s paralyzed.

The man asked for it by jaywalking.

Give me a break! The cop was on his way to another call in the area. The people who were in the area at the time are a bunch of animals. People barely slowed down they drove around him…. wow how considerate…. there was no panic is their slow milling around. What goes around comes around.

I believe someone did call 911. A police car arrived on the scene a little less than 60 seconds after the man was hit. It’s somewhat surprising that no one went out in the street to stop traffic, but maybe after seeing two cars come out of nowhere and take a pedestrian out people were in a state of panic and apprehensive about walking out onto the same street.
