Harvey Milk Movie Gets Special Treatment

The movie about gay activist turned San Francisco politician Harvey Milk has been getting a lot of nominations for awards. Many skewed reports are claiming the awards are for the movie itself, but in reality all the awards are owed entirely to the work done by Sean Penn who starred in the movie, and did some really good acting work.
Milk the movie has made around $5 million nationwide since opening in only 99 theaters. Despite the fact the movie is a huge flop commercially, gays in Hollywood are celebrating the movie as if it was the next Batman blockbuster. Although Milk is a story worth telling, the movie hype is all hype, except for Penn’s work in the movie.
